I cannot possibly say enough nice things about this amazing place. The property is absolutely pristine, Rooms are decorated beautifully, with the most lovely materials and finishes. Service is amongst the best we have ever experienced and the food is superb. We can’t wait to return!!
When it comes to a birthday present, the first thing that comes to my mind is privacy and tranquility. The value of being alone with nature and with each other, away from such a beautiful but busy center of Florence, can be felt here at Villa La Massa. Когда речь заходит о подарке ко дню рождения, первое что мне приходит на ум - это уединение и спокойствие. Ценность быть наедине с природой и друг с другом, вдали от такого красивого, но шумного центра Флоренции чувствуешь здесь, в Villa La Massa.
We just returned from the most incredible five day stay at Villa la Massa. The hotel has a beautiful setting with breathtaking views of the Arno River. The restaurant is fantastic and the service impeccable. Tamara is amazing and does not miss a thing, she extremely organized and personal. She leads an excellent team that exceeded all of our expectations and requests. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and this wonderful hotel. Thank you and we are already looking forward to returning!
this is our first time at Villa La Massa, we are members of the Sporting Club of the Sister Hotel, Villa D'Este in Lago di Como. The location and ambiance of Villa Massa is perfect, being in the county on the banks of the Arno but just a short journey into Firenze. The pool and lunchtime restaurant is great. the best thing is Tamara who seems never to sleep and does the job of 5 people but always with a big smile and extreme professionalism.
The sweet scent of jasmine fills the air as I enter the grounds of the beautiful estate of Villa la Massa. I feel as if I have stepped into a slice of heaven, and I never want to leave. Much more than a hotel, Villa la Massa is a dream destination. Set on the Arno River, only fifteen minutes from the heat and bustle of Florence, you will feel as if you are a world away. Yet, the hourly shuttle service to the Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence will get you there in no time for exploration. The resort is comprised of four buildings, all immaculately restored to meet the expectations of the luxury traveler. The original palace was first built in the 13th century by the powerful Medici family who ruled Tuscany for 300 years during the Renaissance and commissioned almost all of the works of art in Florence from that time: works by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli and others. Every room in the palace is unique, spacious, and luxurious, furnished with beautiful antiques, rich fabrics and beautiful marble bathrooms. The Villino is situated directly on Arno with views of both the river and the extensive gardens. It is comprised of seven rooms which can be rented exclusively. The Arno Suite has an expansive terrace on the river. So lovely! For my most recent visit in June 2021 to celebrate my honeymoon, we stayed on the second floor of the newly restored La Limonaia. We adored our room, styled in keeping with the original structure’s Tuscan décor, but with more contemporary fabrics and furnishings. At La Limonaia, we had the perfect view from our little terrace overlooking the Arno. The first floor rooms have private garden with lounge chairs. Many wonderful improvements have been made since my last visit. An old farmhouse behind the property was purchased and converted to the casual L’Oliveto Bistro where lunch is served in a quaint indoor space or on the patio overlooking the magnificent new swimming pool. After exploring Florence on a very warm day, a dip in the pool was the perfect way to cool off. On Wednesday evenings, three courses of gourmet pizzas is served, paired with different beverages and accompanied by live music. The event is attended by the locals as well as resort guests, so we felt like we were part of the community. Casa Colonica is another fabulous addition to the property. It is a renovated farmhouse dating from the 1800’s and comprised of four new very spacious suites with living rooms, and internal courtyard and kitchen. This can also be rented exclusively. We enjoyed a peaceful breakfast at Il Verrocchio on the terrace overlooking the Arno River, watching the ducks swim and locals walk their dogs on the path on the river’s opposite side. Most of the dogs could not resist the temptation to jump in the river and swim, a fun sight to see. While sipping mimosas, we savored delicious fresh fruits, homemade pastries and breads, with eggs and other warm dishes made to order This is the ONLY restaurant in Florence located directly on the river. In addition to the wonderful rooms and amenities here, what makes this property so very special and draws me to come back again and again is the delightful Tamara Trambusti who greets me, as well as my valued clients, as an old friend. Tamara has been at the property for 40 years, and remembers even more than I everything I have done on my previous visits. How she does this, I can’t imagine! She is a treasure, and makes surewe are well taken care of. I trust her to make the best restaurant recommendations and grant every wish I have. Along with Tamara is the fantastic General Manager Stefano Venturi, who oversees the estate and ensures that the staff delivers the best food , service and overall experience. My clients will always have the benefit of many exclusive amenities, including a one category upgrade on arrival subject to availability, breakfast daily, complimentary minibar throughout the stay, including alcohol, replenished once a day, a welcome transfer pick up with Mercedes car from Florence airport or Santa Maria Novella Railway Station. And for bookings of three nights or more, a complimentary 3-course lunch at L'Oliveto Bistrot for up to 2 guests per room. As a travel advisor specializing in luxury vacations in Europe and particularly itineraries throughout Italy, I have visited many magnificent hotels in this diverse and amazing country. I must say that Villa la Massa is at the very top of my list for Florence and Tuscany!…
