We booked the three day package that included the cooking class. This is a great getaway from florence. The cooking class was outstanding, the food was superb. They have a tennis club in walking distance that is clay courts and is great. The rooms, beds, and linens are outstanding. The spa is in the basement and is really quiet and...

Villa La Massa - It was nice for sure but not 100% would choose it again, we felt it was over-rated - especially having compared it to several other luxury hotels of this rating/price range during our trip. Pros - Extremely quiet- nice oasis from busy Florence. Only saw 1 other couple the entire 4 days we were there -...

My husband and I decided to meet my best friend and her husband in Florence for a few days of sightseeing to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary. As she is now living in Australia this was a special trip and we needed an extra special hotel. I emailed the hotel before our stay to inform them my friend was...

We stayed at the hotel celebrating my 40th birthday. It's a beautiful 16th century villa on the outskirts of the city, overlooking a nice river. Rooms are excellent, breakfast was amazing and the staff was very hospitable. We had dinner once at the hotel and it was really fantastic. I highly recommend the hotel for a special occasion.

Honestly, this is the most goregous hotel. I don't think the photo's even do it justice. I stayed here for a long weekend, and thought it was just fabulous. The bar was perfection, the whole decor of the hotel was so indulgent, but tasteful, I really loved it, and thought it was very fitting. Breakfast was great, the quality of...

Villa La Massa is an authentic Roman Medici Villa that has been refurbished for modern guests while retaining its original glory. Located on the Arnes river its location is secluded and quiet and for those who really want some peace outside a cityscape. The location is a perfect starting point to visit Florence and other regions and cities in the...

I will be upfront. I don't like my hotel, or restaurant, impeccable. A flaw here or there always gives the establishment this tinge of tragic heroism. Thus, when I frequent places I love, I always try to identify one or two little things that can be improved upon. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify any such defect in...

We stayed three nights at Villa La Massa during our honeymoon and loved every minute. Upon arrival we were upgraded to an amazing suite with incredible views of the river. The service is 5 star, we were always looked after. The restaurant was so good, we dined at there every night. Must try the degustation. Buffet breakfast was also amazing....

Have been in Florence before. Wanted to stay outside of the City to avoid the crowds. My travel agent recommend Villa La Massa and it turned out to be THE perfect hotel. On the bank of the picturesque Arno River, the hotel grounds are exquisite, the service and food are incomparable, the hotel interior is exceptional , and the room we...

I have been visiting Villa La Massa for the last decade and every time it delivers on all fronts and every year something gets better and better which is hard when your already starting at a high point. The location is so peaceful and tranquil as you wander around, sit in the gardens or just stare at the River Arno...
