You should stay here. The unique quiet surroundings are worth driving off the trail for. We stayed in a cottage which was clean, spacious, bright and well-equipped and really cute. Perfect for a couple. We stayed for one night, but you could totally stay for a few days if the weather cooperates. The secluded beach was gorgeous. Wake up early...

This was a very pleasant surprise; Dingwell is small, yet strategically located. We stayed only one day thinking it would be better to stay longer in Sydney. We were wrong, the cabins here are perfect for short or long term stays. They are clean, comfortable and all have internet. There is kayaking and tours in the area, as well as...

I stayed here for two nights as part of a packaged hiking trip in Cape Breton. It surpassed my expectations in many ways. First, the restaurant...the food and the service were excellent. They catered to food allergies in the group, and every meal we received was hot and delicious (the polenta was a real treat) and the breakfast included homemade...

Beautiful and cozy log rooms with some amazing views, but this place has so much more to offer!! A pool! Laundry facilities! Group bookings available! And the food!!!!! Can someone say "Red Seal Chef"!! Yum! The menu is off the charts. The staff is fabulous. Would definitaly recommend! Can't wait to come again!

Beautiful cottage and absolutely stunning beach just down and across a grassy field. Breakfasts were good but by the time we got to the buffet, pickings were a bit slim each morning. Close to Cape Breton coastal hiking trail which was awesome, and we stumbled upon Black Brook Beach which was perfect for wave-jumping. The water was strangely not as...

Our B&B told us that you need reservations at this restaurant; however, we tried every other restaurant within 20 miles and they were all closed (this was at 6pm), so we decided to stop by and see if they had any availability. When we arrived at the restaurant and asked for a table for 4 people, there were only 3...

This is a collection of "cottages" around a central complex with a bar and restaurant. The location is lovely, at the end of quite a long country road / lane so there is no traffic, and at the top of a cliff with great views and a lovely beach at the bottom that is an easy walk for kids but...

Fantastic place, very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed Aug 13-16th. The log room included an amazing breakfast, the pastry chef, Adrienne makes outstanding scones and cinnamon rolls - yummy! Only one small thing, a fridge and microwave in the log rooms would be very helpful since the restaurant was only opened for breakfast and dinner. We are going back...

I chose the Markland for our 40th anniversary. They advertised great views and fine dining. The views were amazing. I chose a log room because they wouldn't guarantee an ocean view for the cottages. The room was comfortable but the walls were paper thin. Pets are allowed so we were treated to our neighbor's dog barking if they were out....

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days, and explore the great sights and hikes the Cape Breton national park has to offer, as it is located midway the Cabot Trail. We stayed there for 3 days. We, a family of 4 with younger children, stayed in cabin 1, which was sadly tucked away in the...
