Hello, I have traveled to Cuba three times and love it, but have always stayed in Havana. I am considering a trip next year which will include a few nights at the Hotel El Castillo. I am reading very mixed reviews. The stairs seem to be mentioned in almost every review. My question is, does the hotel have bellman to help carry luggage to the rooms, etc. I would be arriving with a group. I saw one post where the person mentioned he arrived with a group and there was no provision for the bus to go up the drive. It sounded like he had to walk, climb the steps, and carry the bags? I would think the hotel staff would have arrangements to help groups. Photos of the bathrooms did not look promising. Thank you for any insight.

I found no problem with the bathroom. It is not a luxury hotel but very clean and nice. All I can say, is when I return to Baracoa, and I will because it is a wonderful place, I will stat at El Castillo if at all possible.
