A group of 15 Anglers, mainly from Zimbabwe, ventured to Cabora Bassa for a 5 day competition involving all species and the renowned Tiger-fish. The Lake is heavily netted which put all the fisherman skills to the test, however after a full day on the Lake, it was always great to come back to the Lodge were one was pampered...

We were lucky enough to be recommended a stop at Moringa Bay Lodge when crossing over the border. Immediately upon our arrival Gayle and Zane greeted us and made us feel at home. They were so accommodating with our large overland vehicles. All we can say is...WOW. After being in the bush for two months, this was the exact retreat...

There are not many tourist facilities at Lake Cahora Bassa and one's expectations are not high due to it's remoteness and general lack of infrastructure. However on Sun day we popped into Moringa Bay for lunch. It was a gorgeous day - there had been some rain in the morning, which had ceased. We sat on the verandah at Moringa...

Moringa needs an extra star! Always an oasis but now even better with the added option of having 3 meals a day with a view like no other.... Friendly staff, clean chalets, and we can highly recommend the fish and chips! Best in the province!

Pretty much, it was a disaster. We left the place early for our own peace of mind. The only greatness there is the views of the dam, unfortunately, the peace is thoroughly shattered by capenta boat engines, so best be finding another location, unless ofcourse, you are friends of the owners/management and are keen on a big booze-up – day...
