Had lunch with two friends, excellent arrangements for looking after customers safely. Details of party taken ( should they need to be contacted ) . Areas in restaurant have glass screens around them to ensure safe distancing etc. Knives and forks presented to table on a tray , menus sanitised. Onto the food, small choice on menu, but excellent along with service. Bill brought to table along with credit card machine. Sanitiser dispensers all around hotel. They also have their own car park - through the narrow archway

We visited on Sunday 28th November and booked the Gin room for private dining. We were celebrating my sisters 21st birthday as a family and enjoyed dining in the beautiful private dining room. We had a great time and the food was lovely. There was one waitress that really stood out for us and that was Malinda. She was the only staff member who took the time and care to think about the little touches that really make a dining experience that extra special, a personal touch.
She was so friendly and engaged in friendly conversation to make us all feel so welcome, she also made us laugh. She was the only server that we felt really delivered that excellent customer service feeling.
Melinda replenished the empty water bottles for us when another server had walked right past, she then poured the water out for each of us around the table and ensured we were well looked after throughout our meal. She also noted that when the birthday cake had been brought out by another server, they had left the room and not returned with plates or napkins for us to have a slice. She spotted this and announced that she would fetch these right away without us needing to ask.
I remembered Melinda from booking my daughters Christening for 17th October where we had hired out the restaurant and she couldn't do enough for us. The event coordinator Beth was also stand out and together they prepared the room beautifully and to our satisfaction. Beth was also great with our daughter Ella making her feel at ease when we first arrived. It was a great day for our daughter and we returned because of the great experience we had for my daughters big day.
We will definitely be returning again soon. We drove from our home in Kidderminster for our visits and it's worth the trip.

Stayed for 3 nights for a little break. Ate in bar twice in the evening and had breakfast each morning. Food very high standard. Hospitality couldn’t fault, made to feel welcome by all staff from the minute we checked in to when we left. Covid secure, all staff wore masks and screens up in the bar and restaurant very tastefully done so looked like they had always been there. Beautifully decorated and pleased with the king size room we stayed in. Only negative was our room overlooked the very busy, noisy high street but to be honest this didn’t affect our stay at all. Would recommend a stay here if you’re ever in this area. Car park behind the hotel. Lovely outdoor area to have a drink or a meal if a sunny day but also nice in the evening.

We attended the Angel’s event The Little Plumpn Bank Holiday Monday. Everything was perfect - the Barbecue Feast delivered to our table was delicious, and the socially distanced tables and hygiene measures could not be improved on. Excellent live music too! A welcome return to a live event - can’t wait for more.

Had a king size room, clean, warm and a decent size. Tea and coffee facilities.
Our family group had our evening meal in the restaurant, whilst portions not massive the food was very well prepared with delicious sauces.
Breakfast was lacking any fruit or yoghurt but a good choice of hot breakfasts including full English.
The service at reception, the evening meal and breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
Would certainly recommend staying here and is an ideal location on the High St to explore walks by the river, shops and the Abbey.
Ideal weekend location.

The Angel Hotel, an old coaching inn with Tudor origins, is in the centre of Pershore, between the great Benedictine abbey and the River Avon. Their three-course menu, at £15, is extraordinarily good value. We started with a thick pumpkin soup with pumpkin seeds in it, followed by sea bass with mashed potato and a lemon posset decorated with raspberries. On entering the hotel you had your temperature taken, a reassuring precaution which even some hospitals omit. The food was delicious and the service assiduous, fully deserving of a generous tip.

I spent some time looking for a nice place to stay for my partners birthday. The images on the website looked perfect for what I wanted. However, I was really disappointed with what we were given. The room was grotty and tired. There was a hole in the wall, the glass above the bathroom door cracked, the door had something (coffee?)dripped down it, the skirting board was dirty, wallpaper peeling, furniture was dirty or old and worn. The lead on the phone and stool cushion was filthy! However, even worse than all this was the smell of the room. It smelt only offer us an air freshener! We would have just opened the window but we were directly above the beer garden and as it was Saturday night there was a comedian on with a microphone, so it as really busy and noisy. When we booked the room we booked evening meal included for £30.00, however apparently this was an error on the booking site as the Inn doesn't offer this. Finally, breakfast took 50 minutes to arrive (the lady next to us complained as she said she had been there an hour and no one had taken her order) when the breakfast arrived the poached eggs were very under and had to be sent back. The whole stay was unpleasant and we could not wait to go home. We would never have stayed if we hadn't have had a drink with our lunch before checking in.

We had previously stayed in their sister hotel and were slightly disappointed in the size of the room which was barely adequate. The bathroom was tiny with the only shelf for toiletries was high above the lavatory, although the facilities were new and sparklingly clean.
The weather wasn't brilliant so we ate both lunch and dinner at the hotel. The food was good but expensive for what it was e.g. £19 for fish and chips. I thought that was dear but the starter at dinner was eye wateringly expensive. Beetroot gravadlax was £8 for a portion that was so small I thought that I had been brought a dirty plate. What I found really irritating was that the doors to the toilets had been wedged open and every time someone visited the loo the noise from the hot air hand driers was loud enough to prevent a conversation.
The staff were very pleasant and hard working which almost made up for the down side of this visit. Overall a disappointing stay and one that will not be repeated.

Read the description , and booked this place as rooms were said to have been refurbished. I had requested a luxury room. On arriving they changed the room when they saw our small dog, but bringing our dog had been made quite clear on our on line booking reservation. Apologies were given that the room had not been prepared, and they put a small electric heater in the room. Room was dismal, dark, and shabby with damp stains on the wall and ceilings, and the lighting was very poor. The carpet was thread bare in places, and the bathroom very dated and bare with an electric shower over the bath that was barely fit for purpose . We reported back that the bathroom radiator was not working and there was no hot water in the bathroom taps even after running the tap 15 minutes. Duty manager suggested we ran the tap longer ( than 15 mins) and that the radiator was in need of repairing, he tweaked the boiler and eventually we did get some almost warm water. But the radiator remained cold.
The staff were very pleasant, the food was quite good ( pub type food) and they had a Valentines special menu available. Downstairs in the pub was friendly, with a good atmosphere and nice log fire and we enjoyed the 2 evenings.
Pershore was really lovely, but we were there during Storm Dennis, so couldn’t explore much in the local area.
Very disappointed with the room and would only stay again if a refurbished room was offered. Our mistake was not checking the room before paying in full.

I booked a double room in this hotel and when I arrived I was informed I’d been moved to a single room , this at 4.30 pm on a Bank Holiday Saturday afternoon so no chance of finding alternative accommodation. My booked room had been reassigned an hour ago to a couple. I was put in what can only be described as a decorated cupboard. There was no window except a slit about one foot wide from the ceiling which was next to an industrial fan that was permanently on throughout the night so impossible to sleep.’In the morning, Sunday there were delivery noises directly outside the cupboard room at 7,30 am.
No courtesy phone call of apology from management at any point just a reduction in the rate which was not necessary since I’d clearly chosen to pay for a double room.
An appalling experience that successfully ruined my weekend.

Sorry I stayed in a double room but this was lovely as was the hotel and restaurant so I'd imagine the single room would be of the same standard.

Answer from Lukasz
Pershore, United Kingdom2 contributions
Hi Mary, All of our rooms are located on the first floor and we sadly do not have a lift due to the age of the building. If you wanted to talk through your specific requirements, could you call the hotel and speak to a member of staff and they could more accurately describe the layout of our building to you. The number is 01386 552046. Thank you for your enquiry, Tom
