We thoroughly enjoyed our stay albeit one night. Isabelle and Bruno are great hosts, welcoming and attentive making our stay hassle free. The room functioned well and the breakfast was great especially the home made jams. Mas des Marguerite provides a great base for exploring the area and we plan to return next year in order to do just that!
Isabelle and Bruno were fantastic hosts. They asked us about our plans for the day and gave us advice about places not to miss and the best routes to take. The property is beautiful and relaxing, a perfect place to stay. Also a very short walk into town, which we did every night for dinner.
Isabelle and Bruno are the most welcoming and delightful hosts. They really helped ensure we had a great week and booked restaurants for us and gave us so many tips as to where to go and what to see in what is a really interesting and varied part of the country. The breakfasts are very good and Isabelle and Bruno went out of their way to get us gluten free bread (better than any that I've tasted in the UK). The room was very comfortable and spacious. The property is very quiet and yet is a very pleasant 10 minute walk from the lovely village of Mausanne which has some really good restaurants. It is a great base for visiting Arles, Avignon, the Camargue and the Luberon. One tip - if you take the train (which I would thoroughly recommend) but are arriving on a Sunday be aware that car hire isn't available in Arles until the Monday and so it might be better to go to Avignon and hire a car from there. We had to take a taxi on the Sunday from Arle to Mausanne which cost Eur60 (although should have been Eur45) and then ad to get a bus back into Arles on the Monday to get the car (bus service is very good and cheap but irregular). All in all we had a brilliant week and will definitely go back.…
The hosts Bruno and Isabelle provide a warm, personalized welcome and make every effort to ensure that guests are comfortable. The three suites, each with its own semi-private terrace, are spacious, well-lit, and provided with modern facilities including silent air conditioning (important in summer) and free Wi-Fi. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor reached by a fairly steep staircase. The two smaller bed rooms are on a single floor and also have terraces. Good showers and separate toilet. Parking is convenient. The swimming pool is just big enough for refreshing exercise after a day out and is accessible 24/24. The surrounding spaces for relaxation are pleasant with two loungers in the shade under a grape vine. Fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cheese and hard boiled eggs are included in breakfast as well as baguette, croissants and homemade jams. Guests with special requests (such as whole-wheat bread - "pain complet") should ask about them in advance. Isabelle and Bruno do whatever they can to oblige. The Mas is within ten minutes' walk or one minute's drive of the village. I recommend Mas des Marguerites without qualification and hope to return whenever I can.…
Great experience from start to finish. As we arrived we were greeted by the owners and offered a glass of juice on the balcony of our room. We got the Cigale room, a large room with a downstairs living room and the bedroom on a mezzanine. Every day we got a nice and individualised breakfast consisting of baguettes, pain au chocolat, croissants, homemade jam, scrambled eggs, coffee etc.. The owners were very interested in helping you planning your day, suggesting restaurants, cities and shops - leading to us discovering things we might not have seen elsewise. As we visited in November, we did not get the chance to try the swimming pool, due cold weather. The B&B is in close vicinity to shops and restaurants, and within short driving distance to the small classical french towns, as well as Avignon, Arles, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. Would not hesitate to go back again.…
