She was fantastic, giving useful advice about where to eat etc. Silivia's English is great and she is most happy to assist with onward travel arrangements. The rooms are spacious and having wifi was an absolute bonus. The pet tortoises...

Silvia and Gian Luca will make you feel at home, but still leave you your privacy. Their rooms are comfortable and quirky - a mile away from standard hotel rooms, but with everything that you need for a comfortable and relaxed stay. A real bonus was the wireless internet connection - for once, in Italy, it was actually problem-free! Amelia...

I was in Amelia for a conference in July 2009. Booking and paying via PayPal had been easy, and Silvia had arranged for her husband Gianluca to pick me up from the train station in Orta. British Airways had managed to lose my suitcase between Heathrow and Roma, and Silvia was fantastic - arranging for me to access the internet...

“The India Room, where we stayed, is quiet and cool, There is no view from the window as it faces the wall of a nearby house, but that did not bother us as we used the terrace to sit out. The Africa Room does have a window onto the terrace, which some might prefer, but we liked our room.”

“Silvia has 2 rooms, with a share kitchen, with a fridge and stove. It has everything you would want, except a microwave, which some people might find useful. Our room was big and comfortable, and everything worked. It was decorated in Indian style with art work, paintings and embroideries.”
