I have been staying here since they opened and it is always first class! I travel for business every few months and they help me get food as I do not speak French. The front desk crew is very helpful and professional!!
The location is convienient, and they have a good breakfast as can be expected from QI. The walls are a little thin, so if you as sensitive to noise ask for an isolated room. The track on the treadmill slips, the stationary bike wobbles (not as stationary as it should be) and the universal weights machine needs replacement. If working out is not part of your travels then this will probably be an excellent hotel for you.
I travel a lot and this is one of the best quality Inn's i have stayed at. the rooms were clean, beds comfortable, great atmosphere and fantastic service. this is a premier choice brand (quality inn, comfort inn etc) hotel.
Rented a spacious suite for the night for a good price. A lengthy line up at arrival which could have been avoided with a back-up employee. The room had very poor lighting and was in dire need of minor maintenance. Most of the light shades were broken and the electrical outlets were loose. A little TLC could do wonders for this hotel which has more potential than is presently reflected.
Overly expensive, but we booked less than a week in advance for the Saturday evening of the Labour Day long weekend. Front desk attendant was very courteous (despite being very busy with guests and the phone), and perfectly bilingual. No complaints with the room other than the bathroom sink draining slowly. Breakfast was unexceptional but decent and minimized waste by using real silverware and porcelain dishes.
Through a series of mishaps on the part of Air Canada and booking.com, we missed our flight which led to the cancellation of our reservation in Quebec City. With no rooms available, booking.com referred us to another site and we ended up booking Quality Inn in Victoriaville. After traveling 1 1/2 hours by taxi to the hotel, we figured our vacation trip was ruined. However, the front desk personnel, Sylvain assured us that he would help us salvage our trip. The next morning, he managed to cancel our nonrefundable reservation at his hotel, and book us a room at another property in Quebec City. He even figured out how we could return to Quebec City by bus saving 130 dollars on a taxi fare. He is truly an asset to your staff and we can't thank him enough
My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel. Our room had a king size bed, small sitting area, A/C with manual control in the room. The bathroom had a bathtub-shower combo. Everything was clean. We slept well and enjoyed a standard breakfast the next morning. The breakfast area was full and the staff opened doors to another adjacent room to accommodate everyone. Check in and checkout was fast and easy.
I have asthma, I am very sensitive to cigarettes smell. Why would this hotel sign you up and make you initial the fact you won’t smoke in the room when clearly the room reeks of cigarettes smell. UNLESS the smell is embedded in the ancient carpets... No, the drunk guys in the lobby did not deter me , nor the human trash walking around the parking lot, nor the people who had beer IN the hot tub... The one star is for the ashtray smell in the room... There are SO many other options to lay over on the way east or west, I should have known better. The room was not cleaned properly (old orange peel, pubic hair in the bathtub, old wrappers on the carpet...)but that’s not a big surprise from choice hotel Again, ashtray. Disgusting
We arrived at the hotel at 7 pm with another family. We were given an electronic key to room 406. Upon entering the room, we discovered a naked man in the bed. Thankfully my 9 year old son was having trouble with the key and didn't open the door. We left and went back to the front desk. The woman told us that he was given the wrong room and that she would reprogram our key for his room; 405. When we entered that room we discovered it only had one bed and a pullout. When we called she told us that for more money, she could send a cot. We explained that this was not acceptable and she offered to send us to another hotel, again at our expense. After the lack of security and the hotels unwillingness to accommodate us, even with reservations, we felt that we had no option but to leave and go to another hotel an hour away (other hotels in the area were booked). We have tried to discuss this security matter with choice hotels, but they have not answered our questions about security. The rooms themselves seemed ok but outdated and in need of renovations.…
Stayed here 4 nights while doing some cycling on the paths and trails in the area. Would definitely stay here again. Could leave from the hotel on the bikes and hook onto the cycling trail system. Worked really well for us. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. *** Tip for anyone visiting Quebec for the cycling paths and trail system. Download the free APP “ondago” ... gives you trail maps to download so you don’t even use your data when using it on the go (you don’t even need a data plan) ... and the downloads and APP are free. Makes it so easy to navigate the paths and trails while on the go. ***
