Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I was booked to stay there for a couple of weeks as I was visiting friends and family. There are a few hotels on 56 street that are of a much higher standard, but cost considerably more.
If one has to overnight in Tsawwassen, and doesn't want to spend much money, this place is passable.
I have stayed at many hotels in Canada on account of my work, and my boss booked me at many hotels owned and managed by people from India.
There are always tell tale signs: hooks to hang towels way too high on the bathroom door, the cheapest quality soap and shampoo, single ply toilet paper etc.
These people have NO interest in investing but minimal amounts of money so as to not be shut down for safety violations, or a poor standard of hygiene.
The room I stayed in was ok, but I had to have the receptionist open our door at least five times.
If the owner would spend $30 to replace it, it would make for a more pleasant stay, but the concept of customer satisfaction has not yet made it's way to Indian shores just yet. This mentality is brought to Canada.
There is NO WI FI provided by the motel. Complimentary wi-fi is provided by the City of Tsawwassen and it is agonizingly slow.
The owner should spend $100 +/- to provide WI Fi to his customers unless he has no interest in his costumer's satisfaction.

The place is awful. We were in the room for 2 hours and my husband saw a rodent scurry across the floor. He went to the office to notify them as there is no phone in the room to call front desk. The worker said he had never heard of a rodent problem but followed my husband back into the room with rat poison and glue traps in hand. Staff proceeded to put rat poison in a hole underneath a cabinet and a glue trap behind the refrigerator. We asked for a refund or discount and was told management would decide on Monday. We definitely won't be here tomorrow or Monday. The health department needs to inspect this place as it is not sanitary or safe. There are mouse/rat droppings near and behind the refrigerator.

If I could give this review zero stars I would. Got the “last room” of the day and were put up in #9. Should have turned away upon driving up to the building. The room has uneven floor with gaps in the flooring, gaps in the door, table in the kitchenette “steadied” with a chunk of paper. Left over premade ice left in the fridge from god knows when and the ac didn’t come to the front room. The beds looked dirty. If you’ve made it this far, there is more… back room was gross and grungy, walls and baseboards had soo much wear and tear throughout the unit it looked like it was a “slumlord” special. The bathroom was disgusting, the tub was not rinsed out after there “cleaning”, the toilet seat was broken and holding on by one clip, fecal matter on the walls and stained towels. The utility closet was full of mouse poop and traps. Front desk girl was clueless when we returned the key and was shocked we weren’t going to stay. Still waiting to hear from the manager to get a refund. Highly disgusting and disappointing “motel”, if you’re waiting for a ferry just sleep in your car. Less likely to contract something…

This motel is NOT as advertised in any way. The rooms are very old and DIRTY. In these days of COVID I would be very worried at this motel. They advertise free internet, although the internet kicks you out every 5 minutes and you are unable to reload internet. When we advised the owner he said it wasn't his responsibility. I was charged for my room as well a security deposit as a pet friendly room. After being in the room for less than 1 hour, I was then told that the room I was in was not pet friendly and I would have to leave as they had no more pet friendly rooms available. I did secure another room at another hotel. I requested a refund of the charge that was already processed and the owner refused to give me a refund. I did not stay in the room. I am sure that this crappy place needs my money.

We might be a small cheap motel, we do respect our managers and expect all customers to treat them with respect as we treat all customers with respect. You have also complained about the cleanliness, this was never an issue when you were staying with us until the pet was discovered and you were asked to leave. You should be ashamed of putting out falsehood. Feel free to provide a shred of evidence to back up your claims. I have video of the entire incident as well as proof you tried to steal a coffee cup as well as two towels which your wife came to the office to return once I told you that I will be calling delta police to have you removed after your outburst. We did not have to return any of the amount that had been authorized on the room as you were the one who had breached the contract by lying about the pet and incorrectly claiming that you had declared it on your booking. You did not communicate it to us in any way through the booking channel or when you checked in (the video proves it). We still settled the $0 amount as we had promised after we received a cancellation from booking.com. I can upload the evidence of the $0 settlement on this public forum if you so prefer. We do agree that our internet can be spotty at times, which is not managed by us. This is service provided by our service provider and they manage the internet. We only provide the network name to the guests so that they can use it. We are after all only a cheap motel. Thank you for not staying with us and please do not come back again!!!!

Also the motel wasn't that good, either. The most polite term I could use for the owner would STILL be a swear-word. During a 40-degree Celsius heat wave, he can't even be bothered to take the bare minimum effort to ensure his rooms are LIVEABLE, much less comfortable - the "air conditioning" consisted of a sad, rattly box set in an area it would do the least amount of good to cool the apartment as a whole, assuming it was anything more than just a fan, which I suspect to be the case.
The owner cares about one thing: the money you bring him. You'd be better off sleeping in your car,

Dear fgjmfcgbftu8jyhik, Thank you for your review. The management team you encountered have been removed from the motel. We had received several complaints regarding their behaviour and it is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, our air conditioners are designed for Canadian summers. 2021 had an unseasonably hot summer which appears to have overwhelmed our equipment. This is an unexpected hot year which is not a norm. We are looking into all of the ac units in the motel to make sure they are all operating at peak efficiency. Thank you!

I'm reluctant to write a review here. I want to keep this place all to myself and if I let it be known that this place is just right I might not be able to get a reservation the next time I need it. Like I just said, this place was just right for me. I don't need a lot. Like a concierge or room service. I look for a place that is clean, has a comfortable bed and a shower and a place to park. This motel has it all and for me it struck a high note. The shower and bath in my room was new, modern glass, built for 2. I was travelling alone. The staff were helpful and friendly, they left me alone.The area was quiet at night. You have a golf course on 2 sides. The little hamlet oof Beach Grove post signs that they go slow and ask for quiet. The location is perfect. White Spot and 2 grocery stores up the road a kilometer, gas station and the only car wash in town, 2 kilometers to the right. However don't waste your money on the car wash, it doesn't do an adequate job. I'll do a report on that separately.

It’s an old, well-used motel in a nice area. Our room was pretty clean and had a functioning kitchen. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. While they don’t serve breakfast, you can easily do your own or go to a cafe. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within a minute’s drive or you can easily walk. There’s also a good supermarket in the same area. You are very close to the waterfront and a delightful walk along the shoreline - just a couple of minutes to walk there. We stayed because we were catching an early ferry. It worked well since the terminal is only a 10 to 15 minutes’ drive away.

This is top 1 on my list of worst hotel/motel ever. It is unbelievable. Everything is falling apart and the smell in the room is just unbearable. Find another place especially at that price. Do yourself a favour, go away. They have to take it down.

Affordable , pet friendly , Motel. The Motel itself is quite old and does need to be updated. Having said that , it is affordable , and pet friendly, which is a big positive. The rooms have a kitchenette, which is also a bonus. My only complaint would be the bed was not very comfortable. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. If the beds were updated , it would be great value for the money. It was good for an overnight stay , but I think with the condition of the beds , a longer stay might create a bad back.

Did 1 night stay here before getting a ferry. Very close to a lovely nature walk at Boundary Bay. The room was a classic motel and did everything we needed. It was cheap and cheerful. It was quiet despite being beside a main road. The wifi was a bit slow was probably the only issue we had!
