Wow! We were at the Elora Mill and Spa for our wedding anniversary. The grounds are very scenic and the room on the 4th floor was quite spacious with a king bed, a well-stocked coffee bar with Nespresso coffee, a huge marble and wood bathroom and the hotel room was tastefully and beautifully decorated with wood beams, art, a fireplace and fine bed linens. We had a lovely view of the gorge from our window. I chose the 'Invigorate Package' and upon our arrival in our room we received bottle of prosecco and 5 small bottles of juice to make drinks. Included was a bottle of lavender oil too and some spa toiletries in a gift bag. I booked a pedicure and massage with the Invigorate Package. Note: if you are covered by a benefits plan, you can ask for a receipt for your massage (by RMT) at the spa front desk and claim it on your insurance! We made great use of the swimming pool as it was
was 32 degrees ...the pool was refreshing. There are walking trails around the gorge with beautiful views of the water. The food was very good, a bit pricey though. Due public health regulations...for breakfast and dinner guests ate at the make-shift patio on the parking lot; due to Covid-19 the restaurant was off limits. The service from the staff was excellent. No issues, very friendly staff and excellent accommodations. We will definitely return, it was fabulous!

We stayed two nights in the Coach House Riverview room and we can’t highly recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were awestruck to see how beautiful the grounds and the hotel was, continued all the way to our room. The room was gorgeous and so comfortable. The balcony is very private and spacious. The bathroom was huge and very luxurious. The highlight of our stay was the service and hospitality of the staff. They were all five stars, so polite, smiles and always willing to help. We chose the awaken package which included breakfast. I highly recommend this. It was not a separate menu, it was the full breakfast menu and we were able to order anything we wanted. The restaurant surrounding was so calm, the food was delicious and the tables were spaced perfectly to meet the two meter rule. All staff wore masks, we never felt unsafe.

My wife and I booked a couples pkge that included one night, spa treatment, 4 course dinner with wine pairings and breakfast. We didn't get the room type we were promised, surprisingly, but with some serious complaining ended up with a much superior room. From this point forward our experience was excellent. My wife enjoyed her hot stone massage and I worked out in the exercise room and we met later in the solarium lounge to relax. Great Spa. On our way to dinner we stopped at reception to ask if they had any contact solution which we forgot to bring. Shoppers was closed in town and they said they'd try to send someone to Fergus to get some (a bottle of solution was in our hotel room when we returned after dinner! Truly amazing). Dinner was great and the wine pairings were perfect. We couldn't finish it as there was too much food but they boxed it and we enjoyed it at home the next night. Breakfast was excellent. In our next visit we will do everything the same except go for the 3 course meal. Special thanks to Scott at reception, who went above and beyond, and to our server Rick who made sure we had a most enjoyable dinner.

We decided to spend the night as a couples get away for my husbands 40th. The building was very pretty and well kept. The lobby had a nice fire burning. Our room cost us $700 for the night so we had high expectations. When we came to the room, there was a note wishing my husband a happy birthday with a little bag of the small hand soap that they put in hotel rooms. It was strange, and would have been better had they not asked us if we were celebrating a special occasion if they weren’t going to leave you something like a bottle of wine or chocolates. We decided to order dinner into the room because of covid. Dinner arrived, a young unfriendly girl brought the the trolly to our room. We ordered dirty olive martinis, they forgot to add the vodka and we had to send them back. When she brought them back, she tried to convince us that the shots of vodka were on the tray previously which they absolutely weren’t. I drank half a martini with olive juice, gross!! They also forgot to bring us a spoon for the soup and forgot the sparkling water we had ordered. Obviously no one is checking the orders before they go out. When you’re paying so much, the least they can do is make sure that the little details are taken care of. I didn’t realize that the service charge was already included and gave an additional $35 tip. The next morning we ordered breakfast and they forgot the water once again. When we checked out, I told the front desk manager that they had forgotten to give us a bill for breakfast and that we wanted to add a tip on for the server (not her fault that the restaurant was sub par). She told us that the service charge was already included and that’s when we realized that we had given a $70 (nearly 40%) tip on the dinner last night by accident for extremely poor service. After I told her about our experience, she apologized but told us that the bill was already closed out from the previous night and nothing couple be done. Unacceptable for such an expensive hotel! We have traveled to many high end hotels throughout the world, and none of them would have responded in this manner. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this overpriced subpar hotel or restaurant. If you’re going to charge such high prices, you’d better be covering all bases. A nice clean room isn’t sufficient enough to say the least.

We stayed for two nights in a Deluxe Mill Room while attending a wedding at the nearby Foundry and the reception dinner at the The Grand Room. From arrival to departure, we had a very lovely stay.

Very friendly and welcoming greeting when we arrived. Wayne at the front gate was pleasant and very helpful with our luggage and reservation confirmation. Paisley and Oscar at reception were very nice and our check in was quick and efficient.

Our room was lovely. Exposed beams, rich fabrics, and warm colours gave a rustic charm to the space balanced with modern conveniences and amenities. Nespresso coffee maker, still & sparkling water, big screen tv, huge soaker tub and a massive shower. We were not huge fans of the bedding (mattress & pillows were a little too hard, but that's our preference), but the room was spacious and comfortable.

Room service was a little off-putting. Food was beautiful and absolutely delicious. Room service attendant was on point and very accommodating, but we were not aware that meal periods and menus were dictated by the dining room. An afternoon snack was limited to three items, unless we chose to order a room amenity or wait for dinner service.

Turn down service rivalled that of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. Ambient lighting and soft music greeted us when we returned for the night. House made caramels, fresh bottles of water, and the box of coffee pods had been fully restocked. Bless their heart, though, but the room attendant twice refused the tip we had left for them (so we ended up leaving it in an envelope with the front desk instead).

Our check-out and departure was flawlessly executed. Within moments of calling down to the front desk to have our luggage taken down, there was a knock on our door. Wayne! Again!! Bags loaded and whisked away ("they'll be taken care of for you", we were told). Front desk check out was swift and friendly. Our car had already been retrieved in anticipation of our departure and Wayne had already loaded our luggage.

One, lone, comment that I feel must be discussed. In this modern age, easy access to electrical outlets or, perhaps, USB charge points by the bedside tables would be greatly appreciated. Though there is a media bar on the main console where several devices can be plugged in at the same time, it would have been nice not having to get out of bed, in the dark, and risk running into the beam in the middle of the room just to answer our phones.

Overall it was an outstanding stay and we look forward to our next visit!

Driving up you feel like you are in Europe and you walk into the spa wondering what engineering enabled it to be built where it is. The spa itself is tastefully decorated with professional staff and top notch RMTs. Views of the river and falls make this experience. This would be excellent for a group getaway or couples! The locker rooms were comfortable with all amenities you might need (including dyson hair dryers!). My only regret is I forgot my bathing suit for the hot tub and pool (which are open in winter). We went for dinner afterwards and found it was easily the fanciest of the mill restaurants. I’m counting down the days I’ll go back - next time spending a night in the hotel!

First off, the property is beautiful. My husband and I booked the hotel over 6 months in advance to celebrate a milestone birthday and to enjoy our first night away alone in 3 years. In spite of prepaying and booking well in advance, we were called 2 weeks prior and told the Terrace Suite which we specifically booked was not available. They claimed they would "upgrade" us.
On arrival we were put in the James Ross house. This is lovely. However, be advised, this is a small "house" in the parking lot right at the gates of the hotel property. Having planned for a weekend with a view of the gorge, instead our room had tiny windows that opened only to the parking lot, and to the crowds of "Elora Mill tourists" gawking at the gates. The river is not even visible. Turns out the room isn't even an upgrade. Needless to say, in spite of being lovely, it was not the experience we had booked or expected. For the prices charged at this hotel, it was unacceptable to make this change. There are so many luxury hotels on beautiful properties in Southern Ontario that charge less and deliver more. When you pay this price, you expect more than fancy decor. You expect service. This is not a promise the Elora Mill can make.
Our experience at the restaurant is in line with our review of the hotel. The view is beautiful from the solarium dining room. But this is somewhat where it ends. The food was good, but certainly not in any list of top restaurants we've dined at. The service was off the mark from beginning to end.
While I had a fantastic weekend getaway, it can't be credited to the Elora Mill. I would definitely recommend exploring other options when looking for a luxury getaway!

Wow. What a wonderful destination this is! One night won't be enough, so be sure to book two. The service is absolutely outstanding. We've stayed at the Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, many Vegas hotels, the Shangri-la, but we both agreed we've never had service as wonderfully personal as we received at the Elora Mill. The incredible staff make the stay outstanding. Scott is particularly outgoing and eager to help.

The dining room is very cozy with incredible views or you can opt for a private booth close to the fire. The food is very good but not as healthy as we like, but we were there during the holidays. Portions are plentiful, except the yogurt and granola on room service. It would have been lovely to receive a pot of coffee rather than two cups, but we had refils using the Nespresso, so no worries there.

We are looking forward to returning soon!

1. Room - 10/10

Although our bedroom was undoubtably beautiful, the real selling point of the room was the gorgeous bathroom. It came equipped with a tub overlooking the river, an enormous shower with a bench inside, and a private isolated toilet. The water pressure and temperature were also amazing, and the soaps, shampoos, and conditioner followed suit. The bedroom-- an extremely comfortable bed through and through, a large TV and a lovely welcome note upon your arrival.

2. The Restaurant 9/10
I would give this restaurant a 10/10 for service, a 9/10 for taste and a 8/10 for price. The service was excellent, when a table opened up near the window overlooking the river, the manager asked us if we would like to move to get a better view during our date night. We were also welcomed by name which was a nice touch. The food was also incredible, something we thought about days afterwards as we cooked regular food at home. The price was definitely quite high, but I suppose that is a given when you are getting such outstanding service and the food was so delicious.

3. The Spa 10/10
We were treated to a couples massage which was GODLY. I have been getting massages for years now, but this was one of the best massages I've ever had. We walked out feeling 20lbs lighter and much more relaxed.

4. Service 10/10
We felt that we needed to add service as its own category because of how exceptional Elora Mills delivers in this regard. Their staff is clearly very trained on how to make their customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The little touches as listed earlier really make a lasting impression and separates Elora from competitors.

Thank you Elora for making our stay such a memorable and enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend Elora Mills to others and we are glad this was recommended to us. We hope to visit again in the near future.

We decided on the Elora Mill for our anniversary lunch. We both ordered the steak frites with peppercorn sauce. The aged steak came as ordered, medium rare. The sauce was nicely reduced and delicious. The frites accompanying the steak were generous, cooked well and were golden crispy. We enjoyed a bottle of Californian McManis cab sav, which was well priced at $48 considering it is $20 at the LCBO. The comfort of the room overlooking the gorge is nothing short of outstanding. Service was spot on and we even received a few small sweet treats complimentary for our special occasion.
