I have stayed at this 20 room hotel several times, as well as the other hotel in town. prices for both seem high, compared to similar places in the south, but that is understandable. This hotel is what I'd call "basic" in terms of decor and furnishings. The rooms are quite spacious, are cleaned well, daily, and the beds are comfortable but firm. Pillows, bedding and towels are, again, basic. Simple and well looked after. There are decent toiletries in the bathroom, a fridge and microwave in the room, and a Keurig with a great assortment of coffees and teas.

The heat can be too much or too little, at times. If too much - open the window. If too little - there is an extra heater to use.Plenty of hot water for showering, but I would recommend that you use bottled water for coffee and drinking.

There is a bar (you can't hear noise from the rooms) off the lobby which is open for several hours a day (5:00 to 9:00 pm, I think) and a restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is good. The chef is fierce about not serving outside of the posted hours - even a few minutes off and he won't serve you - beware.

The dining room serves an assortment of breakfast meals - standard fare and some extras daily which are a bit more interesting. dinner offers the usual pizzas, pastas, burgers, chicken, a mean steak and three specials which are posted weekly. Here, the chef turns his hand to some real cooking. It's worth a try for mussels, elk burger, loin of pork, spareribs etc.

All in all, not much in terms of service - polite, efficient, not polished.

Good choice if in Kuujjuaq,

I had a room on the 2nd floor in the new wing. Clean room, Wifi, microwave and a small fridge. No frill room. During my stay, the outside temperature played havoc with us... going from -10°C to 8°C, so the heating system in the room went nuts... it was always maintained at 27°C, so it was hot in the new wing. But I slept with the window open so it's not too bad. Well situated, near the airport, has a restaurant and a bar in the same building. The gift store across the street... can't complain.

Never accept room 120, which is located right beside reception and its noise), beside the laundry (which is on duty the whole night), beside the gym and frequent 'bang' noise, beside the bar (you hear loud music, screams, cries and drama) and the bar's bathroom (you will hear the door banging until 1 AM). Cleanliness is sometimes good, sometimes so-so. I would not walk barefoot. Two good things: the pizza and the free ride to the airport.

Combination of difficulties related to employee retention, and common covid pandemic related recovery.
Furniture in room is dirty.
The in-house restaurant is in a poor state of service, which includes menu struggles, and food preparation quality.
Meals are undercooked on a regular basis, and handed to the customer barely warm. There are long delays from order place to food on table. Even the take-out service is equally affected because it is the same kitchen.
Included in this review is a salmon undercooked.
Overall the establishment is in decline, but that won't matter much because it is one of the only few options in Kuujjuaq.
The rest of the region has next to nil in hospitality service, and it is sad that it is in a poor state of service.

The restaurant at the Kuujjuaq Inn has the best pizza anywhere. I travel the world for my work and this is in my top 2 pizzas. It is unbelievably good. The sauce is so good. It might even be my number one pizza I have tasted and found the best. I have only had the pepperoni pizza however. The ratio of sauce to cheese to pepperoni is perfect.

One of two hotels in Kuujjuaq. Well-appointed, clean and comfortable rooms adjacent to the only full-service restaurant and lounge in the village. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms have mini-fridges and microwaves, work desks and a TV. All in all, a good choice for a stay in this northern village.

I visited the 14 villages in the Nunavik and Kuujjuaq is my favourite. This hotel is clean and simple and they are presently adding rooms due to a boom in the local economy. As stated by others, internet is iffy at best, but service is acceptable.

Not much choice only 2 Hotels in Kuujjuaq .However only this one has a dinning room and serves breakfast , dinner and supper. The rates are very high but it is the same anywhere you go in the North. The manager on duty was very helpful ,i had a fall while i was fishing and in the morning I realized I had to go to the hospital to be checked and get medication.for the pain. He did not hesitate to drive me there and would not accept a tip.I was very grateful.

Auberge Inn is everything you need in this part of the world. Hot water, clean, tidy, comfortable rooms. Free wifi (although it is very slow at peak times) and a restaurant with a menu for everyone. I have stayed here twice now across 2 years and have found it to be consistent in quality service. It is always a great oasis after camping/trekking when you are looking for a warm bed and clean sheets. The laundry room is well equipped and gives an opportunity to wash clothing and return home with clean luggage. The restaurant and bar are usually full of friendly locals as well as visitors and it is a great opportunity to learn more about the town. I will be back.
