I had a fantastic time here at New Year and though I'm not the greatest fan of muck diving I loved it. Originally I was going to go to Bunaken but when I arrived in Manado I was told that the waves were to big to go. I was put up in a hotel in Manado for the night and... More

I and a friend stayed here 4 nights. I was a great hotel with exceptional food and great service. A buetiful setting (with POOL) overlooking the Lembeh straits and so near to all Dive site (10- 20 minutes). The dive gear was a bit old, but was useful and functional. The diving guide was very good at finding critters but... More

If you are a diver who loves to do photography as well, Lembeh is a must go on your list. Diving in Lembeh channel is simply marvellous. If you are going in a good season, the water is calm, there are just loads of critters you can find, some of them doesn't even look like they're from the earth! Bastianos... More

We started at the sister resort in Bunaken then transferred to Lembeh. Great accommodation, food, and most importantly dive masters!! Give them your bucket list and set back and be wowed by the ocean from Mandarin Fish to Bobbitt worm, blue ring octopus, lembeh sea dragon...too many to list. Just a magnificent trip. Thanks for sharing your experience in the... More

No words can be spoken agai except to say. "This is most beautiful and pleasant place". Hospitality starts from the resort owner Mrs Candy Bastian up to the officer who picked us up from the port of Bitung. Food and presentation were so good that two days passed unnoticed. The view from the terrace is very beautiful room.

We stayed there for 6 days one month ago and we would come back tomorrow, no less! The staff (both at the accommodation and the dive center) and Thomas, the manager, are so kind and the cottage is cosy, clean and very nice. There are assorted meals (I miss the bakwan) although sometimes they can taste a bit spicy for... More

We are experienced travelers to South East Asia with children 5 and 7 years and are divers. We have been to North Sulawesi two times before and to Lembeh once, then staying on KBR. We booked with Bastianos from home. We had good information in advance from their Manado office. They also have a resort on Bunaken. Before our arrival... More

The diving is spectacular. Our dive guides, Oksin, Elrich, and Yap were incredibly knowledgeable and phenomenal at finding the tiny critters of Lembeh (nudibranchs, sea horses, pygmy sea horses, frog fish). Our boat guys, Markus and Haenjer were kind and helpful. This is a once in a lifetime diving experience. The night dives are exceptional -- the best dives I... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Perched idyllically on the west coast of Lembeh Island, overlooking the strait is Bastianos Dive Resort at Lembeh Island (then it's called Bastianos Lembeh). The key feature of Bastianos Lembeh is that it has surprisingly good facilities yet retains a very modest price. The resort has an elevated swimming pool and large open-air common room with superb sea views, free wi-fi internet connectivity, satellite TV and spa room - facilities one might expect from a mid- to high- budget resort and not one of such clear affordability. The rooms are also of a relative good quality, with Superior cottages that can be rented as air-conditioned or fan only, and Standard rooms for those looking for the cheapest deal. The cottages are stand alone properties for more guest privacy, whereas the Standard rooms are adjoining but close to the water's edge. The resort prides itself on its social atmosphere. It is a popular choice for regular divers just wanting to dive, have fun and meet people, not really for 'hardcore' diver photographers that want to do nothing but spend their time underwater. Divers will, however, appreciate our dedicated camera room and the well-appointed dive center complete with DIN/Int compatible tanks as well as nitrox and the full range of rental equipment. ... more   less
