Navizar Hotel is located in Alamut Area Garmaroud Sina (Bala) village, Qazvin and has 11 en suite equipped rooms. It takes 2:15 hour from Qazvin to Navizat Hotel Alamut and it is not very far away from Hassan Sabbah Castle (18 KM), Ovan Lake(70 KM) and Piche Bon Grass land (8 KM). This is a nice place for tasting pure nature of Alamut. We invite to visit us and experience pure nature.
Magnificent hotel, family atmosphere, very hospitable people. Be sure to ask the owner to prepare his exquisite chicken kebad And the beautiful natural enviroment. I recommend anyone who travels to Irán for tourism to visit this area and stay in this hotel. Mountain climbing, hiking...A magnificent place to relax and forget the rush of daily life

Great place, great place and owner. There is no sign of that old guy mentioned in some bad reviews. The owner and others are so kind and hospitable. The prices are so nice. Traditional foods are so delicious with very good prices. I recommend this place for going to the mountains for ski touring. Hiking, mountain climbing and canyoning. There are so many potential adventures around.

I was here in October 2015 . Reminiscing on an amazing journey round Iran then, I came back to look at how this place had improved [or not]. The location - Valley of the Assassins - was to be a fitting epilogue to my stay. Only place in town then and I was the only resident. Room price agreed with son by email was steep but inferred it was full board. Old man charming and chatty, seemed like a perfect host. It was very cold. No heating in the room. I tried lighting a fire in the grate but no joy with odd bits I could find. Electricity - see photos. Food provided was very basic - mostly packets bought in local general store and out of date. Before leaving last night ended up huge row when old man suddenly announced "meals" were extra. Sound familiar? Bearable if they had been anywhere near decent. Woke up final morning to find snow all about. Expensive taxi was a shard car driven by a lunatic who wanted to smoke most of the way with one hand on the wheel.I have been to scary places but that was the worst ride ever. I actually threatened to get out and walk at one stage if he didn't slow down. Potential for this place is immense. The sons should come back from Tehran and sort it out.…

I booked 2 nights at Navizar after 2 weeks travelling around, the room was offered at 30 euros a night which puts it in the top tier of Iran rooms, let me tell you was I in for a surprise, we arrived in this empty place, showed to a room which was filled with dust, no toilet paper, no bed sheets, definitely not worth 30 euros... he also asked us if we wanted dinner, not mentionning the price, we discovered later he charged us with the most expensive "fees" for a restaurant we ever encountered across all Iran, Last but not least, the owner insists to organise taxi to or from the hotel , do not listen to him, he took 40 euros to take us to Teheran, but we realised later he gave 15 to the taxi driver.... This place is worth 10 euros at max, definitely the worse place I got to experience, even though Alamut is beautiful, you must avoid this place, it is a tourist trap where they just multiply costs by 2 , go for the guest houses around,…

To be honest, seeing this place is not just a hotel or a beautiful nature. You experience a rich culture, part of history and pristine nature. A place for breathing, walking and seeing. Think differently And writing I suggest you see this place.

Be careful with this hotel. It is very very expensive. The old guy looks like friendly but he is a business man who try to exploit tourist. The dinner is double price of normal price in Iran. The rooms were very dirty and plenty of dust. First we agree a price with the owner and later they asked other price, just the double for room. After discussing with the owner we get a more reasonable price, although very expensive for Iran. Don't agree the taxi price with hotel. Make directly with taxi driver. Stay away from this place although it is recommended by lonely planet. Better other local houses and apartments in Garmarud or in the big cities before Garmarud with other restaurants to choice.

The best place for hiking, trecking, climbing as a best reference for Alamout Area. They can provide transportation service from Qazvin to Hotel and all areas around include; Piche bon, Dinerood, Narmi lat. I should mention the quality of home made foods with best prices. Mr. Afshinfar , the hotel manager will help you to discover the area with best packages.

Our experience was terrible with hotel owner (old guy, looking at first very friendly and grandfather like). He welcomed us very nicely but troubles started when he refuse to state the price for room, dancing around and speaking farsi to his fellows, deciding the “special” price. After few minutes of me insisting on knowing the amount, we had to see the room first. Room was ok, nice view. Then we go back down and was told the price - 25€. We bargained lower but was told that he had other room for us for lower price - then showed us some for years uncleaned maintainance cabinet with only one bed. We saw that his younger (sons?) fellows were embarrassed and tried to persuade him. We took our bags and walked out of hotel with one of them. I asked him for home stay around and he happily pointed to red banner in the village. We got great apartment with kitchen, two rooms, tv, fridge and friendly host just for 150 000 toman (8€ at the time). Stay away from this place, they exploit tourist and make bad name for Iran.…

The Navizar hotel is located a little over 115km from Qazvin. We had to take a taxi driver from the roundabout in Qazvin to the hotel in the Alamut Valley. We were unlucky and got the driver from hell. It would have been great if the hotel would have sent for a reliable taxi rather then explaining to get a driver from a roundabout. 3 hourse of sweet and deathening music we arrived outside the hotel. The first impression wasn't great. Nobody was there. We looked around and checked windows. The owner then greeted us and helped take our luggage to the 3rd floor. The balcony and view to the mountains is stunning. I can recommend taking a "traditional room" - has more character. As other reviewers have pointed out the hotel isn't quite up to scratch. Light fittings are missing, decor is a little all over, the plumbing needs minor repair....but all up ok. There is good hot water and the toilets work. The highlight in staying at this hotel is its location and food. The meals are value for money and taste delicious. The hiking around the village is breathtaking. There is a great 15km hike around the mountains...quiet steep but rewarding. The "maps" of the hikes could be improved as there are many side tracks and to lose ones way is easy. If you keep the mountain to your left you'll be alright. In all, management would need to rekindle its passion to keep improving to hotel features and design...create a hotel with character rather than just a hotel with a good location. I would have like to give a better rating. Staff is trying and friendly...but overall the hotel really needs to be brought up to 2018 standards and beautified a little to make it more attractive to stay. Tea or hot water kettles in the rooms would be a good start. Then guests can enjoy tea whilst relaxing on the balconies and admiring the view..... Thank you for arranging a very reliable and good driver (taxi) to take us back to Qazvin. A much more pleasant journey. …

What a nice place with lovely owners. We had the best time trying local dishes, hiking to Navizar castle and enjoying random improvised concerts. Thank you for 2 very memorable days and for all your tips and information. Also, our room was clean and spacious, no issues there. See you again when we return to Alamut.
