Very nice owners at the North Star. Clean rooms with cooking facilities in the rooms, very convenient. Mayo is a very nice little town that is definitely worth a visit!! Very convenient to have this hotel in Mayo :-)

Shona is a wonderful owner. Very friendly and left the keys for us at the desk even though she was not able to be there when we arrived. Our room was generously sized and well equipped. The kitchenette is really nice in a small village with a well stocked grocery store but no real restaurant options other than very (as...

Once you stray up the road to Keno, the issues eventually are why and where to stay. Having made the trip and stayed two nights at this motel, we have no regrets about our choice. It is average, but better than much you will encounter up there, which in itself is not saying a lot. The rooms are typically motel,...

Small but clean and very well run. Highly recommended. The owner provides you with all the important information and goes above to help you out when you are in need. We stayed 2 nights and made a day hike to Mt. Haldene to get breathtaking views over the heart of the Yukon

Clean, comfortable, friendly, this is where you want to stay. The bed was comfortable. The kitchenette had everything I needed. The TV was nice. I have high standards for cleanliness and this place completely passed muster. The owners really went above and beyond. They're friendly, welcoming, just everything you'd like in motel owner-managers. They do this because they want to....

Simple accommodation with clean room and comfortable bed. It had a kitchenette but it would be advisable to arrive with ingredients for breakfast or evening meal. There is one shop in village and one Chinese restaurant. There is free wifi which is a bonus. On our arrival the streets were being dug up to relay pipework so it was more...

The owner was plesent and was willing to cater to our every need, the barbaque outside of the room made a...

Anytime I travel to Mayo I stay at the Northstar Motel. It's quiet, clean, and the owner is so friendly. The beds are comfortable and the kitchenet is well stocked. There are other places to stay in Mayo but The Northstar is by far the best.

Although the owners were very nice and helpful and the flower displays very attractive, we really weren't keen on the room here or mayo itself. It was dark and dingy, very much in need of renovation.Everything worked but that's the best I can say.
