We stayed 2 nights before boarding the Dewi Nusantara. We were told thhat the hotel was awful, there was nothing to do in Sorong and it wasn't safe. So far from the truth! The hotel was just fine - clean, comfortable, good ac and attentive staff. Li nitro English, but Sorong is a little off the beaten track. A little patience...

Staff was nice, but English was limited. Rooms were reasonable clean. I was surprised though that a standard room did not contain a window, not any natural light at all. If you want a window you must upgrade from a standard room.

My room was on the ground floor, and my only complaints are that the room had no window, I could occasionally hear the reception desk phone early morning and the WiFi sucked. The room itself is modern and clean, the shower is powerful and hot, and the AC worked well...although dripped a little. The breakfast here is mixed western cereals/toast...

I couldn't agree with Wishsinger's review more. He was spot on. I had breakfast here last year on my way back from Raja Ampat and checked out the rooms, knowing I was returning on my own in 2015. Absolutely no complaints except their wifi really gets jammed up before 4 pm, when evrrybody must be on. After 4 pm until...

Comfortable enough for short stay, everything is standard and worth the price. Easily accessible with public transport and plenty of food options in the surrounding area. The staffs are nice and helpful.

The Mamberamo is one of only a few hotels in Sorong that visitors stay at while transferring to dive destinations in Raja Ampat. There are perhaps two that of a higher caliber, although we did not visit them, and felt that the Mamberamo was perfect for us. The price is right. The food was good. The staff was excellent (seems...

We stayed here for 2 nights before and after going on a liveaboard. It's a Nice 'city'hotel, but without a city. There is really not much to do in Sorong. The hotel was fine. We had a superior room (just one class better than the standard room) with two very small windows. The room was spacious and it had a...

Although is a not great area of town, the hotel is very clean and the restaurant serves very good and authentic Chinese dishes, along with a variety of others. Breakfast was much better than expected. Good place to stay the one or two nights while in transit to/from Raja Ampat. Some night markets in the area if you feel adventursome,...

We stayed one night before we went to Raja Ampat. The room was adequate, A/C worked ok, we did have windows onto a building site. But staff were friendly, free wifi was available and the room was clean. We had dinner in the restaurant and found the food very good. Breakfast was Indonesian and western with lots to choose from....

It's the staff that made this hotel enjoyable for us. The room was a closet with a diagonal cut across the room, making it smaller than normal. The "window" was a tiny opening onto the parking lot, but so close to the ceiling that it was only useful for light. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. But...
