I had to call 3 times and wait for 1 1/2 hours to be picked up by airport shuttle. Also, the shuttle services several hotels and we made several loops thru the airport picking up more passengers. The onsite restaurant is no longer in service but is still listed as being an amenity in the description of the hotel. Getting to the hotel at almost 11 PM and finding out their advertised restaurant is no longer in operation was a real bummer. As an alternative, they have installed a fridge and freezer in a cubby near the front desk which is stocked with WAY overpriced prepackaged food. $3 mini beers, $5-6 regular beers, $5 nachos and $5 and up sandwiches, hot pockets, frozen pizzas, etc. And then they plaster signs everywhere about not taking food to your room...even though there's a microwave in the room??? What's that all about? Oh, AND, the onsite bar was already closed! On the upside, the shuttle to the hotel the next morning left right on time.

A nice hotel I would give 3 1/2 out of five stars as a non-expert.

Small problems that could be easily and cheaply fixed to bring it up to four.

Great staff and aesthetics.

Less than great location that makes for dependence on rental cars and airport shuttle to get around if one does not like to walk, unlike other nearby hotels closer to the Miami airport bus and train depot.

Free hot breakfast: good; small styrofoam coffee cups and plastic flatware bad.

Rooms good; but cardboard cups rather than glass, no integrated USB ports & inadequate soundproofing between rooms and a hallway bad and unfortunate for a hotel aiming at four stars.

Landscaping and outdoor areas good; unheated swimming pool and spartan gym almost good but not quite.

Free desktop computers and Wi-Fi: good.

Bar: good.

Lack of restaurant and low quality sandwiches at the hotel kiosk not so good.

Like I said… overall good execution but could be much better still with small changes.

My husband and I were very well please with the service and accommodations at rye this Hotel. The price was fair, the rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable. The staff was exceptional! Gabriel at the front desk went out of his way to handle our every need, including even helping us print and secure our Luggage tags to our bags prior to heading to our cruise. Every staff member we encountered was kind and eager to offer their help. We would highly recommend this stop prior to boarding a ship at the port of miami-it’s about 8 miles away, but also $200 less than hotels nearer. It was an easy 10-15 minute ride by the hotel’s shuttle service.

You'll feel just like the idiots trying to use the faucets in the movie when you shower. You'll be the recipient of incredibly loud rumblings/vibrations in the wall and inconsistent water pressure. If your neighbor or anyone within a 5 room vicinity is showering, you'll know it!
Upon arrival I was told the suite I had pre-paid for was not available, so I would be in a less $$ room and I could move to a suite the next day. (No discount or accommodation was offered but to be honest it was late, I was tired and I didn't care much). 2 days later I actually did request to move because a family with screaming children moved in next door. It was so loud I thought they were out playing in the hallways. The staff did accommodate and it ended up being a suite. The carpets were worn and so dirty. The walls had stains, drippings of ?? and scuff marks all over them. If painting is currently out of the question (but really, just paint!) then a Mr Clean Magic Eraser could, at the very least, offer some help in making the hotel look presentable. I don't understand the other reviews that say it was clean! The staff was decent but I won't stay again.

We waited over an hour and a half for the shuttle to pick my family and myself up from the airport.. We called several times and they advised that the shuttle comes to the airport every hour… however we waited there an hour and a half before the shuttle actually arrived. Upon finally arriving to the hotel… it took over half an hour to get our room. As there was no water on anything in the fridge… I purchased 2 small bottles of water and a small juice which came up $12 US. My relative even tried calling me at the hotel and they put him on hold for over 15 min and never transferred the call to my room which is ridiculous. When we finally departed the hotel my credit card was charged… a few days later… the hotel charged my credit card again double the amount. I’ve been trying to reach the hotel for the last week and everytime I call they put me on hold and no one takes the call. I even tried messaging them and they never responded! I really regret staying at this hotel. I actually stayed at another hotel in Miami a few days later and it was an extraordinary experience compared to this hotel! Extremely Dissatisfied!

I was forced to clean my hotel room two days out of my stay being heavily pregnant, despite my complaints being made and speaking to two managers; absolutely nothing has been done. Customer service is TRASH. My 4 year old started to wet the bed Friday night and Saturday morning the bed was made and the sheets were not changed. Sunday and Monday our room was not cleaned forcing us to sleep on sheets that smelled of urine, the final night we slept on the bare bed because of this. I have sent two emails, none of which were even acknowledged; it’s been three days and no one has gotten in contact with me yet. I am not taking this matter lightly, especially not during this COVID -19 pandemic when cleaning and sanitizing should be top priority for guests.

The fire alarm want on at around midnight tonight and front desk has not deactivated yet after almost an hour. Called front desk couple times and the have done nothing to turn it off yet. I am requesting another room because it is impossible to sleeo with some much noise.

Showers are horrible. Not an isolated incident like management will respond with. Scalding hot water or just cold. When you can manage to get it set to where it doesn’t burn you, it will still fluctuate to burning hot again or cold. And when the shower is on it shakes the room walls. You can also hear when other guests have their showers on because their rooms shake. Place is dirty except for the main floor which they keep looking nice. Poor lighting in room and bathroom. No extra pillows or blanket for Murphy bed. Carpet on the guest floors are old, worn out and torn. The tile on the guest room floors and elevator’s were never cleaned during the 5 nights we were there. Only one out of two ice machines in the building work. There’s only one washer/dryer in the entire building and the dryer sounds like it’s about to quit working. We tried to checkout after the first night and Agoda (third party booking website) was willing to give us the other nights charges back to us. But the hotel general manager refused to refund those funds back so we had to stay there or lose the money. They don’t empty the trash on the guest floors. The same trash was in the trash by our elevator for 5 days. The last night we were there they hosted a private party downstairs and didn’t inform the other guests. They were blasting music until 10pm and they didn’t care. We were told “it’s a private party”. The breakfast isn’t good. There are scrambled eggs etc., but who eats broccoli and hamburger patties for breakfast?

We recently used this hotel as a sleep and fly. We had a room both before and after our flight. The cost for 2 nights with included parking was extremely reasonable. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were especially impressed with Josvani our shuttle driver and with Stephanie our bartender. Josvani was friendly and funny. His zest for life is infectious and he even taught me a few Spanish words! Beside making a great drink Stephanie was a wealth of information. She gave us directions to a nearby restaurant area but when we said we didn't want to head back out into the rain she suggested Uber Eats. Not only did she tell us a place for good pizza, she also gave us a discount code!! Definitely recommend.

Great hotel and great service. When I first checked in my room wasn't ready but I believe her name was Camry (something like that). She was amazing,she called housekeeping and immediately they cleaned my room so I can check in within 20 minutes. Service is impecable..! The hotel is SUPER clean and the rooms are super clean and spacious. I love the breakfast, they has a variety of everything you can imagine and eggs for folks like me that don't eat ceral or bagels. HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Incredible experience. Thank you..!

You will need to call the hotel when you get there. The shuttle picks up on the half hour from the airport. And leaves in the morning from the hotel to the airport on the hour starting at 7 AM. Their phone number is + 1 (786)-310-2752.
