I cannot recommend Goldstone too highly. A place that is not Michelin starred but so much more. -please go try it you will not be disappointed. The phrase ‘home from home’ is overused but here it encapsulates what Goldstone is all about. John, Helen and Katie 🥰 are wonderful hosts and will arrange any day you need, lunch dinner, a stay or a wedding perfectly. Just try it I assure you you will not b disappointed

We enjoyed the mix of savoury and sweet: sausage roll, quiche, fabulous sandwiches (the cheese and pickle were to die for), brownies and cheesecake, scones with lashings of raspberry jam and clotted cream. Nicely packaged too. Can’t wait for the restaurant to reopen as we will try that out on the back of the afternoon tea experience. Thank you.

We have been lucky to visit twice in a very short period of time - Sunday lunch and midweek lunch. Sunday was out in the Oak Pavillion with the fabulous fire, service was excellent and attentive, food fabulous and hot despite having to travel out in the cold. Mid week lunch we were lucky enough to have the panelled room to ourselves - Libby was perfect and looked after us with attention to detail. The food was gorgeous. You would have to go a long way to find somewhere as lovely . We look forward to returning.

We met as a family to celebrate two birthdays one lunchtime as staying nearby in rented house. The Hall was traditional and the main clientele showed this, we were the only mixed age family eating, all others were retirees! We had a nice welcome but when we entered the dining area things changed. I asked for the sparking wine not to be served until the main food arrived and was told it was just coming and she didn’t have two pairs of hands! A bit rude I thought. The starters, mains and desserts were good and tastefully presented but service was slow. I am sure there are many other places just as good ....
