Staffs are very welcoming at the hostal and their attention is impeccable, from the moment you step on the port to the time you get to the room they are friendly and helpful. The tours are awesome full of fun and enjoyable, the tour guide stff is very patient and full of joy. The place is super clean, organized and they also offer services of restaurants, and to be honest the food is amazing and lots of it, can´t leave the place hungry. The location of Posada El Gecko allows you to have an incredible night due to the closeness to the beach where sunsets are breathtaking. The best place to visit in Capurgana... no doubts of going back.…
2 hour wait with no apology before the 1st dish came out. Pizza was good but not worth the wait. Asking for the bill they struggled to split it and didn't have any change and couldn't use card........ better options close by
The place is well located not far from high street and little shops and bakerys, it is important to know that there is a bar restaurant in the place itself and therefore there is music going on until 1am, personal is friendly and helpful, you can get pizza and beer or other drinks in this place.
Stayed here for one night on our way to San Blas. The ladies were super helpful- doing our laundry really quickly and letting us pay in dollars when we realised we had run out of pesos. The pizza was great too. The private room we took (70k) was basic and could have done with a few extra touches like a lamp and hooks for towels. My main issue with the room though was that there were a lot of mosquitos and no net. The night we stayed there was also a power cut meaning the room got ridiculous hot without the fan - we had to leave the front door open for the slightest breeze. It was a quiet, chilled place though, and would recommend for a quick stay on your way through if you have your own mos net.
we went visiting the restaurant (wich is the best for italian food and drinks) and as we saw the beautiful place, we decided to stay for our last two nights, lucky they still have an extra room for us since it was really crowded for the semana santa... wish we could have stay for longer, they made us feel at home and took care of us! the place to stay if you are in Capurgana!
