I was last year, the place is beautiful and quiet, the servers were very attentive and friendly people, the activities offered were going to avocado bay, sapurro and a walk to heaven. In the hotel there is a swimming pool, there is a Jacuzzi, there is a sauna, there is a bar where you have an open bar, it is also a very clean place and the rooms were cleaned every day, the bad was the Wi-Fi connection only worked at the reception, what I liked most was the food. I would go back without a doubt the service was very good.
Capurgana is now a very noisy place, there is competition for those who have the highest volume even inside the hotel. The hotel lacks cleanliness and the service and attitude of the staff were very unpleasant. When I made the reservation I sent the food restrictions and they ignored it, for that reason for the Christmas night we ran out of dinner and the following days it was very difficult to have an adequate menu. It is recommended that the hotel inform the guest what the conditions of the lodging are because it is impossible to rest. It is very important to be able to make informed decisions and to know what to expect from such a place.
We were recommended Nautilos due to it's air conditioning facilities which is a luxury in steamy Capurgana and 'reliable' electricity generator which is necessary as the electricity frequently cuts out. Unfortunately, the power cut out for over 3 hours after check-in without any back up generator in place except for the giant speakers from the downstairs bar which still remained in full blast well into the night. Overpriced - stay in a simpler hostel nearby.
The rooms are cozy and clean, restaurant facilities and food are great. Personnel is very friendly, and their location in front of the beach is amazing. They help you with everything you need related your transportation as well.
We stayed 3 nights at Capurgana at Nautlios. The price for the rooms is way too high. Rooms are very basic. Besides the bed almost no furniture. Nog even a mirror in the bathroom (fe for shaving). There was airco but no remote was provided. The shower gives just a little bit of water - which is cold. Bed very bad and small. Irefereing to European hotel levels it wasnt even 2 stars. We paid 240.000 cop per night - way too much for these kind of rooms. You can choose for all-in, or for breakfast, etc. Breakfast they charge 30.000 cop pp - it was our most expensive and worst breakfast in Colombia. The hotel compound looks nice. There is a pool. The hotel is located at the beach - very nice. There is a bar at the beach / swimmungpool, but if you are not an all inclusive guest, you have to run to the reception to pay each time you order a beer. There was a problem with the visa paymebt - they calculatef double. This was corrected in a few way. The reception (and staff) dont speak any English. …
