We were 3 couples who stayed for two nights, and it was INCREDIBLE. We so wished we could have stayed longer. Helena and Mark and the staff made us feel part of the family. The chef Jorge was fantastic and very accomodating of special needs. (His empenadas were the best we tasted during our 3 week stay in Patagonia). The hottubs and sauna were awesome, as was the fireplace, and the stairs down the "la playita". We hiked up to the Cajon and fished in the river. Gustodio was extremely kind and helpful. And Julietta helped us immensely with communications with our airline after we encountered some problems for our return. We absolutely loved the place, and are very eager to return!
Best place in Patagonia, at least in El Bolson. Lovely building, great service and facilities, wonderful food and in the middle of nature and the beautiful Cajon del Azul right at your doorstep. I was amazed with the building, made new friends, enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, the great surroundings, the lovely double room as well as the rooms down the hall, and the whole atmosphere. I wanted to stay and stay and stay. Ended up remaining there for 12 days instead of 6, and soaked up nature and good vibes. Don’t hesitate, just GO!…
La Confluencia was everything I hoped for and then some. We were looking for a place for great hiking without having to drive, fly-fishing, comfy accommodations and bonus for me, meals provided; the wonderful, kind, helpful hosts at this cozy, warm, gorgeously situated La Confluencia was totally the place for us. We felt welcomed and well-taken care every moment of our stay. We loved the hikes; the meals (oh the meals!) including a very fun time at the nearby taqueria with it's award-winning beer; the views from each and every window; the hot tub; for my husband, fishing in the gorgeous river. Helena, Mark and the rest of the La C crew went above and beyond and we felt beyond grateful and fortunate to have landed here.
La Confluencia is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The hosts Mark and Helena really made our time very special, with delicious meals prepared by Helena and her team being a real highlight and the best food experiences we had in our travels around Argentina. We ended up returning to La Confluencia for an additional night after walking the mountain trails along the Rio Azul – we couldn't go past one final incredible meal and a soak in the outdoor hot tub and sauna. It really is a magical place and we were very sorry to leave. We are already planning our return.
Amazing environmental farm and relaxing family day! Gourmet lunch was fantastic and everything about this place involves thoughtful sustainable design. We arrived, ate lunch, took a walk to the gardens, saw the animals (llamas!), and visited the hydro electric turbine that produces electricity for the place. Then walked down to the beach from a staircase at the lodge. After returning we all relaxed in the hot tub and sauna with gorgeous views and had a bottle of wine with snacks. Anyone interested in conscious living should visit.
We stayed here for four nights and loved it! To get straight to the point: Excellent stay. Beautiful surroundings. Delicious diner. Friendly staff. If you want to relax and get away from it all... Book this place! Skip el Bolson, and go straight to this gem!
We found this gem on our second time trough El Bolson and so glad we did. What a wonderful relaxing eco-friendly gem in a great location with great food and excellent staff. This would definitely be a repeat for my next trip to El Bolson!
Recently returned from LaConfluencia. It's a beautiful eco-friendly resort about 20km from El Bolson. The lodge, which is perched above a flowing river, is beautiful and the dorm-style rooms are comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and find solitude throughout the lodge. The shared bathrooms are well-designed, so don't let the non-ensuite thing put you off. The max capacity is in the low teens. Plan on having dinner at the lodge. The kitchen staff, led by Gina, are top notch and the food was truly memorable. LaConfluencia is also a working farm. The lettuce and strawberries in your salad were picked in the front yard about a half-hour before being served. Very special.
This place is a hidden treasure with all the luxury comforts one could ask for-breath taking views overlooking a beautiful flowing river enables guests to hear the sounds of white water rushing by your window. Wood burning hot tubs (2) also overlook the river and are very romantic! The lodge is impressively built and the lounge areas both inside and outside are very comfortable. But one of the biggest reasons to come and stay is for the food-farm to table exquisitely prepared (5 star) finest food you will eat this year! The garden is out front and the chief Gina and her crew are amazing! Hospitality is above the rest, wifi is available. The property has access to multiple hiking/biking/horse back riding trails.
This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed after completing a 3 day trek, staying in refugios, so we were particularly attracted by the comforts of La Confluencia. The situation is beautiful - you feel like you are in a tree house and can always hear the river. The view from the hot tubs is great and the view from the Mirador is even better. From here, you can look across the valley and the mountains. It is the type of view that I would like to tattoo on the inside of my eyelids! The lodge is lovely with lots of great individual features. I love the wood carving on the way to the shared bathroom. The bathrooms are also excellent. Even better than all of this though was the reception from the staff. Mark was a wonderful host to the region - offering advice to help us plan our visit. Diego showed us around the garden and encouraged us in our Spanish. And Guillermina - what can I say? The food was wonderful (best ever breakfast) and we so enjoyed chatting with you. Together, the team could not have looked after us better.…
