“The Viewpoint Hostel”, is a mountain paradise located on the hillside of the Piltriquitrón hill, it’s a unique hostel for its location, for the quality of its facilities and services, because it’s ATTENDED BY ITS OWNERS and also because it’s a place created for resting, for direct contact with nature and also to find oneself. We are Magdalena and Mario and we welcome you to our hostel in El Bolsón, along with our two cute dogs Marley and Tanke. Mario is a commercial diver from Buenos Aires and Magdalena is a kindergarten teacher from Bariloche. We are a coulpe who decided to leave everything behind to make our dream reality. El Mirador is a place for all travelers to meet friends and to rest. Here, you won’t only meet people from around the world, but you’ll also discover what is life in the forest. Put down and unload your backpack full of routine, stress and noise for a while. You’ll find out that it’s possible to hear the sound of silence.

this hotel made my visit to El Bolson incredible. the facilities are in perfect condition and everyone who works there are fantastic people with whom I spent a lot of time. They gave us all the necessary indications to spend 3 fantastic days with them. I will surely return and hopefully I can soon enjoy that incredible view from the lookout.

There's a bunch of hostels in El Bolson, but this is the one you NEED to be in. El Mirador Hostel is 4 km away from the main road, tucked away in the forest and it's an amazing place to be in, to get the vibes of the nature around and make friends with the cutest dogs ever. Mario and Magdalena are great hosts, they're open and curious minds who are also great fun, they'll tell you all you need to know about the mountains around and the hikes you can do. They have uncrowded dorms and private rooms, a very well stocked kitchen and plenty of outdoors chillout areas.

The internet is strong, the showers are hot and they even have a private mirador (viewpoint) that's great for sunsets, wine moments and writing in your private journal.

Make sure you get some food up there from the village and do the Cerro Piltri hike, it's beautiful up there.

Guys, thank you, I've had a fabulous time and I'm very thankful to have met you.

A 15 min taxi ride outside of town with nice forrest surroundings. Good standard on the accommodations. Not possible to pay with card and the banks in town frequently run out of cash so come prepared.

I came in March, it took me a while before reviewing but I promised, better later than never !
It didn't start very well as we haven't seen the hostel was located so far (and up !) from the bus terminal so we had to climb probably one hour and a half with our backpacks under a burning sun. We were quite upset and tired when we arrived there but in a second all of that disappeared : the house is so beautiful and quiet, with a huge garden, Mario greeted us and he's truely great, he speaks French and English and he's very interested and warm. Staying here is not like staying in any other backpackers, the ambiance is very familial, the two nights we stayed there we spent the night talking with Mario and Magda, it was truely awesome. I have great memories there, I totally recommend it. Thanks again Mario and Magda and hopefully we'll meet again !

I spend two nights in the family like hostel. Mario and magda, the owners, are welcoming hosts who are your friends within some minutes. Even if it's a bit far and steep to walk up there, it's definitely worth it. There are some trails starting close to the hostel so it's perfect for outdoor activitys.

I don´t ordinarily leave reviews for hostels, but this time I feel the need to do so. The experience I received from El Mirador was fantastic. Besides the fact that the hostel had the necessary clean living spaces and bathrooms, great wifi, kitchen and appliances to cook, cheap prices, and relaxed atmosphere, what really made it so special is that it´s located in the heart of the forest that allows you to get away and truly relax in nature. I loved reading a book in the backyard, playing with the dogs, or sharing a mate with the owners and guests. I came for 2 days in El Bolson and stayed for a week because I couldn´t leave. Thank you guys so much for the experience!

Beautiful place! The hostel spaces are super spacious and quiet. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, the beds in the rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms have incredible showers.
In addition, the hostel has a very large forest with a viewpoint of the town with a dream view.
The volunteers and owners were super friendly and attentive, always helping with everything we needed. We would return without hesitation at any time!
