The Sani Mountain Lodge is on the top of the world and looks down on the dreaded Sani Pass into Natal. Our room was spacious and warmed by a very efficient little stove that kept us warm all night. We had the most delicious meal of our entire trip in the restaurant there.

Amazing place in a very very special location. The staff are fantastic and the standard rondavals, although starting to look a little used and in need for a small amount of tlc are still excellent. Overall it is expensive but the food is great and you have to stay there at least once.

We stayed here after a long and wonderful drive across the north of Lesotho from the Maliba Lodge. We had booked at the backpackers because the hotel was full, but fortunately for us they had a cancellation and we managed to get one of the lodge's rondavels. This was well equipped and comfortable though the bathroom was a bit old...

We stayed in one of the chalets of the lodge on a day where temperatures dropped to below freezing. In order to combat the cold, the lodge kindly provided us with sherry in the rooms as well as the standard fireplace. The view from the lodge is absolutely stunning. It overlooks the rapid descent that is Sani Pass. The staff...

Arriving at the lodge we were met by Steel who was friendly and assisted us well enough. The rooms are basic with a few minor issues such as cracks in window and squeaky beds. The bathroom, although functional, seriously needs updating so much so that my mother refused to shower. The concept is good but a little more care could...

Driving up the sani pass was already a wonderful experience, especially if you are lucky with a clear sky. A 4x4 is recommended because of steep hairpin bends with loose rocks and pot holes. Arriving at the place is awesome, the on top of the world feeling.we stayed in a 2 person rondavel which was lovely:clean, Cosy, burning fire, welcoming drink,nice...

Now let's just consider the location of this lodge and how things are transported up! Excellent in every way; service, staff (with shiny shoes!), excellent choice of drinks, food and breakfast! Cosy rondavel with a well stoked burner to keep you cosy! I haven't mentioned early morning coffee sharing the stunning view with the cat! Congratulations to Steele and his...

During my stay I saw some horrible animal cruelty on the lodge premises. I raised my concerns with the staff who were unhelpful and rude and also with the management via email since my visit. This was 6 weeks ago and even though I was assured the management would get back to me asap there has been no communication from...
