I stayed at the Townhouse in 2013 and was delighted with the stay. When asked for a recommendation of where to book, I did not hesitate to recommend the hotel. I am so disappointed to report that the the hotel has massively deteriorated in standard and I will not be returning. What follows is the review of my mother-in-law and...

The Townhouse was outstanding. Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast and Sheila was a great hostess. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I was over from the US on a business trip and the Townhouse had all the benefits of a hotel, but all the charm of a Bed & Breakfast. The location was also great for the restaurants and...

As we'd just become proud grandparents for a 3rd time up in Newcastle, our room had become a nursery and we needed to find a nice hotel close by. Well we found it on recommendation from our daughter. Lovely old Victorian townhouse converted into 10 bedrooms, each individually styled. We stayed in room 8 and it was worth the climb...

Stayed here recently with husband for overnight stay. Parking is available free with free wifi. Check in was quick and efficient receptionist was very friendly. We were given complimentary drinks on check in either red/ white wine / larger/ or gin are options. There are stairs so if you have mobility problems you would need to request lower floor room...

Stayed for a night on business and would definitely recommend the Townhouse. All the staff (from welcome the evening we arrived to breakfast the next day) were very friendly and helpful and it was a lovely touch to be offered a drink on arrival. Room was comfortable, quiet and done to a good standard. Enjoyed the cafetiere for coffee plus...

This a fabulous hotel located just off Gosforth high street, close to everything, banks shops etc. A very warm welcome and a free drink on arrival took me to a great room. Very comfortable and cozy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated as is the rest of the hotel. Great breakfast. The attention to detail was great. Lovely presentation. Although quite...

Lovely, luxurious room and The Blue Room, bar & restaurant also looks great. Great to have a parking permit for on street parking. A few niggles... [1] only one set of towels in en-suite bathroom ( more retrieved from the linen cupboard on the landing ), [2] hotel phone not working in the bedroom, [3] no tissues in the bedroom,...

Thank you for your review. I would like to respond as follows. I apologise for only 1 set of towels in your room. This was a housekeeping error. I will check the phone in all rooms as I do not know which room you stayed in and if a phone is not working I will get it repaired. If guests...

Arrived Saturday afternoon (4ish) to be greeted by no-one! Shouted for 2-3 minutes then receptionist/housekeeper/barperson appeared. But no problems from that point on. Bedroom(6) was a good size with high ceilings (as has most of hotel). I'm 1.95m - and room was large enough for me and wife. Great sized bathroom with wet-room shower. Complimentary drinks served in face/bar which...
