To say this is paradise is an understatement. Small and personal with an exclusive edge. From the moment you arrive the staff start to call you by your first names (if you prefer) and all are welcoming and accommodating. The spa is sensational with amazing treatments. There are yoga and Pilates classes in the pavilion over looking the ocean. Not the instructor is the perfect teacher and Neri the resident Osteopathic consultant has an almost magical touch. All finished off with a well fitted gym and a great hydrotherapy pool. The restaurant serves great food all day and Wison runs a great team who are very helpful with immaculate service. For special occasions there is the option of tented dinner on the beach, the more lavish sandbank dining option or the after dinner outdoor cinema. The pool is lovely but is second place to the reef surrounding the island. Easy to snorkel too we saw lots of fish, lobsters, turtles and sharks (reef only). To get the full set we took the boat trip out and saw the dolphins at sunset. Oh and on land crabs and the odd fruit bat!! Overall we came away relaxed and in better shape when we arrived with memories for life. What an amazing place!…
We had a wonderful stay at Como Cocoa island. From the minute we arrived at the airport the staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, the island a beautiful paradise. With only 33 villas our stay felt as if we were the only ones on the island. Spa services were amazing and daily yoga with Nok was a treat. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff, especially Faisal and Aravind, for taking care of us. We so appreciate everything you do and hope to return one day. Warmest regards, Nina & Kevin
How hotels and resorts should be operated and run. Whilst the setting of a remote small island in the Maldives can be idyllic in itself the staff enhance the vista with welcoming smiles and high levels of service. From the welcoming team when you arrive at the airport in Male, to the speedboat ride to the resort, the welcoming committee on arrival lets you know you have arrived at a special place where the staff ensure your stay is comfortable, enhanced and connected. The senior team and managers regular visits to table at dinner for a quick chat asking about your day to the restaurant, beach and cleaning teams. Absolutely everyone one had a ethos of excellence that made our stay special. Thank you Como Coco Island team for such a special memorable stay.
We LOVE Como Cocoa! And we love everything about it - the stunning location and attention to detail, the warm and beautiful service, the staff remember you and make you feel like home, the Como food which is always so delicious (including the healthy options). The sunsets are incredible- every night is different. The diving and snorkelling are the best in the world - the reef is 50m from the deck of your room. The dive service is luxurious and expert The Como Shambala massage is our favourite anywhere and the new hydrotherapy pool works on all the body. Also new is the private outdoor cinema which we loved. We will be back soon!!!
It is easy to find a beautiful island in Maldives but Cocoa Island it's a really precious gem. You can reach it via speed boat from Male, so you don't need to get another airplane. It's small, clean, well cured, with few villas, you feel like to be in Paradise. You can do all the sports and activities you want, or you can just relax in your spacious villa and enjoy the reef in front of you. The food it's amazing and the service is 10/10. Starting from the management with Vincent and Wisam, the office with Amaany, the restaurant team: Saeed, Sithin, Fang, Fanny, Hindra, Ravi (the barman), Nazeem, Faisail and all the other fantastic guys I couldn't remember the names... I also mention Abu the villa maid and Nim the security. There is also a beautiful Spa and you can get any kind of massage included professional osteopathic treatments. We passed 9 nights in another dimension and we had the best vacation ever!…
My wife and I are stunned after our honeymoon at Como Cocoa Island - the best holiday either of us has ever had. It's tough to describe the experience beyond saying that it's somehow exactly the right balance - simple but luxurious, comfortable but exotic, private but social (if you want it to be), relaxing but stimulating, and all in the most idyllic setting imaginable. With so few rooms, you often feel like you have the 350m island and its sandbar all to yourself (whether lazing, strolling, snacking, snorkelling, or exercising). The Dhoni loft villa was stunning, spacious, well-equipped; the food varied and excellent; the beaches and reefs breathtaking. It takes quite an operation to craft this outwardly seamless experience; the staff are all wonderful and make it pleasant from the moment you land until the moment you reluctantly enter security for your return flight. Thanks esp. to Nawal for looking after our room, Mode, Zayan, and Kai for the epic onsite snorkelling/scuba, Nok for the yoga/meditation, and Wasim, Muru, Sithin, Fang, and Faisal for the restaurant/bar experience. We hope to be back soon (and noticed that many guests are long-time repeat visitors).…
It’s been a few years since our last visit (13 I think previously) due to renovations and then the pandemic. We returned to the same luxury and hospitality, helped in no small measure by so many familiar faces but even better also due to the refreshed facilities and Vincent and the team. The dining experience was even better than before - we experienced wonderful tasting menus for dinner over Christmas Eve and Christmas, a change from the usual excellent a la carte or buffets. The spa massage was very good as usual, with improved gym, pilates studio and relaxation spa pool. One thing we experienced for the first time - bioluminescent dinoflagellates a.k.a. fluorescent plankton! Thanks to Vincent and the team for making it yet another wonderful family get away. See you all again soon. Take care.…
Just left Como Cocoa Island. I can say this was unequivocally the best vacation I’ve ever had - my wife would echo the same! The island is a gorgeous venue for relaxation. It is a beautiful, cute place. They pride themselves on keeping everything natural. Not too many people - at times you feel you are in your own world. We stayed in an awesome loft villa, which is shaped like a boat. The back of the villa faces the ocean - there is a lovely deck with a stairwell to take you straight into the water. I found myself using the stairwell as a chair - perfect for late night thinking, with total peace, and just the wonderful sounds of the waves to still the mind. And of course, the deck is great for sunbathing should that catch your fancy. The staff, from Vincent and Wisam at the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, to the welcoming nautical center instructors like Kaia (who btw is also a marine biologist), Eddy, Muru, to the waiters in the restaurant - I can only say the service was impeccable. And I should not forget Nok - who was the yoga and hydrotherapy instructor - a very friendly and sweet teacher who also makes a mean ginger and lemon tea - definitely have it! My wife and I were total novices at snorkeling. The nautical center team were so helpful and friendly in helping us get comfortable. We had the most amazing experience with them. Did multiple sessions with them - I can’t stress enough just how great they are. Can’t wait to go scuba diving (only had 4 nights - not quite enough time for us to get ready for it but there’s always next time!) Food was fantastic. They cater very well to vegetarians. The chef is very approachable and really does try to please. Activities - yoga, meditations, snorkeling, cruises - all were so wonderful. The beach of course is white and pristine. Be sure to look for bioluminescent plankton at night by the shore! The gym is also pretty good - multiple cardio machines, full set of dumbbells, a few kettlebells and workout machines. Great for a vacation spot - and at times, I felt I had my own private gym😎 I can’t say enough good things here. Check it out!…
I always do a lot of research before a big trip, and this is especially important when traveling to the Maldives because the vibe of each island is unique. My husband and I were seeking a quiet, unpretentious experience but not willing to sacrifice simple luxury. Como Cocoa Island not only delivered but exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we landed (after 24 full hours of travel from the US) the team at Como Cocoa Island welcomed us and ensured we had a relaxing, luxurious, wellness forward, delicious holiday experience! Mornings started with yoga on the sandbar or at the pavilion or private Pilates. Nok, you were a wonderful teacher and guide! You helped us set such wonderful intentions for the day and I absolutely loved chatting with you after class over some delicious and well-earned ginger tea! Then it was off to breakfast, the menu provided many options throughout our stay, including a delicious build your own omelet but my favorite was the "real toast." I would be remiss if I did not give a special mention to Nazeem, you were absolutely wonderful throughout our stay! You ensured we were comfortable, well-fed, on-schedule for our activities and just overall HAPPY! Thank you for everything. We stayed in the one bedroom villa with the private pool and I cannot stress enough how gorgeous this room was. If you are going to travel all the way to the Maldives, I recommend splurging a little extra on this room category, the view was otherworldly! The room had dramatic high ceilings, plenty of space, absolutely stunning floor to ceiling windows, a gigantic bathroom with a shower and soaking tub. The outside space was spectacular too! A private outdoor shower, loungers, rocking chairs, a sun umbrella for shade, the private pool and of course…personal steps down to the Indian Ocean where you could get up close and personal with rays, fish and reef sharks on a daily basis. My husband enjoyed two dive trips organized and carried out by the hotel and we spent a good amount of time on the house reefs, three separate house reef areas around the island offered us the chance to just swim out and see a vast amount of marine life including reef sharks! The food throughout our stay was exceptional and the menu was differentiated enough day to day providing us with options even though we stayed on the island 8 nights. In short, we were never bored by the menu and the food was always delicious. To our surprise, there was also a visiting Chef on the island the week we were there. We very much enjoyed the 5 course Chefs table by Chef Stephane Carrade and my husband loved the hand fishing excursion and lunch with Chef Carrade as well! We really cannot thank Vincent and the entire team enough! I would recommend a stay at Como Cocoa Island to anyone, in a heartbeat! We will cherish the time we spent on the island and the memories we made for many years to come. …
This was my first solo trip in years and the staff at Como Cocoa made it one to remember! I lost my luggage on the first day at the airport and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. They were in constant contact with the airport team following up on the status of my luggage and had extra clothes ready for me in my room. They also arranged for a speedboat and staff member to take me to a local island to shop for essentials and lent me some cash for my shopping. I was absolutely blown away by the hospitality. Everywhere I walked I was greeted by staff, most of whom greeted me by name. The Dhoni Water Villa I stayed in was suuuuper spacious. I've never felt so safe and welcome as a solo traveller before. Can't recommend them enough!
