Having visiting 15 resorts in the Maldives, including some very famous names like Soneva, Waldorf, One&Only, Milaidhoo, Nautilus, Anantara Kihavah, Four Seasons Landaa,... I'm extremely picky when it comes to reviewing a resort. And well, I have to say that Park Hyatt exceeded my expectations. Let's cover point by point : Island, Villas, Service, Food, Snorkeling - The island : ABSOLUTELY beautiful! I'm trying hard to think if I've ever seen such a beautiful island, but the answer is no. Park Hyatt has amazing beaches all around the island and the lagoon is simply mesmerizing all around it. You can look at it 100 times, you'll fall in love with it 100 times. - The villas : we were staying in a Deluxe Beach Pool Villa (first villa 4, then villa 2). They are exactly the same, except for the view. Villa 4 has "covered" views which gives you more privacy when villa 2 has totally open view, which means less privacy. I personally liked villa 2 more. You just need to be aware that people walking on the beach in front of your villa can easily see you, but for me, that was ok. If you care a lot about privacy, just request for a villa without such an open view. The villa itself is nice, definitely not the biggest / most modern we've seen, but it does the job. The pool is HUGE but I would maybe like it to be a bit deeper. It's like 0.9m deep which is a little disappointment. We also had the chance to visit the 3 bedroom overwater residence that is just CRAZY. So huge, perfectly well designed, directly on the house reef, with a 16m long infinity pool. If you're going with some friends or with a large family group, do consider booking this 3 bedroom residence, it's just a big WOW. - The service : for me, great service is crucial to make the experience perfect. The service was mostly excellent, except by the pool where it was unfortunately disappointing. We often had to wave at the waiter for 5+ min to grab their attention to order something, get the bill,... Yet, the friendliness of the staff makes you feel very good and except for the service at the pool, it has always been excellent. Talking about service, we of course could not miss to mention our EXCELLENT buttler, Hussain, who did such an amazing job during our stay. He is such a kind person who always managed to accomodate our requests. When booking Park Hyatt, ask for Hussain for your buttler, he'll make your experience a dream. - Food : we had the chance to experience all their restaurants : KOI, the BBQ on the beach, The treehouse and the main restaurant (the dining room). All serve totally different cuisine and it was excellent in all of them. Our personal favorite was KOI when it comes to food. It serves Peruvian cuisine and it's absolutely phenomenal with such a nice view (you eat overwater). For special experience, you should also try the Treehouse. It's such a special place as you'll be eating 5m high in a tree with a fully vegetarian menu that comes straight from the chef's garden. Don't be afraid about "vegetarian". We are everything but vegetarian and yet, we were impressed by how talented the chef was to transform all these vegetables into some gastronomic food. Regarding breakfast, the quality of the food is great but the selection could be bigger. 2 things that are disappointed : coconuts are not complimentary at breakfast which was quite a surprise and they do not have that many tables outside which makes that you may end up inside (which is less nice) if you don't go early to breakfast. - Snorkeling : WOW. What else to say? I simply never seen such an ealthy house reef. Ok, it's not the fishiest I've seen (a place like Anantara Kihavah is more fishy) but the beauty of the reef is simply incredible. It feels so nice to see such amazing coral regrowth. Also, the reef is extremely easy to access and to snorkel which is a good point as well. You can definitely do a 360° snorkel all around the island which would take you between 90 to 150min according to how fast you swim. Oh, and I got SO lucky to see dolphins on the house reef... I mean, how lucky is that? Also saw SO many sharks, eagle rays, Ben, the famous house-reef turtle, and many more! - The spa : we had one signature 90 min massage that was really amazing. The therapists are excellent and the price is reasonnable when compared to other resorts in the same category. - Activity center / diving : except for paddle boarding, we did not do any activity with the activity center. I wanted to go diving but unfortunately they only do double dives and the boat does not come back between them (as the dive spots are far). This means leaving at around 8:30am and coming back at 1:30pm. As my girlfriend does not dive, I did not want to leave for that long. Maybe an other time ! :) - Transfers : as any resort in Gaafu Atoll, the access is not really easy/fast. Once you arrive in Male, you need to take a 1h+ domestic flight and then 30min boat transfer to reach the island. You need to deserve such beauty. It's obviously not the easiest resort to reach so I would strongly recommend not going for less than 5/7 days. Try to make that long transfer worth it. I would strongly advise against choosing such a remote island for a short (3 nights) stay for instance. Despite the resort being remote, we will definitely want to go back! Overall, we had an excellent stay at Park Hyatt Maldives. Everything there is just so great and only some very small details keeps it away from perfection. If you're looking for an amazing resort to stay in, Park Hyatt is definitely a good option and you definitely won't regret your choice. Thank you to all the team for such a special stay, we already can't wait to go back!…
Small, quaint, friendly, beautiful! I couldnt say more about the service and quality of everything involved in our trip. The amount of help from our host Ana in general all the way to having the island doctor coming to check on baby for us after a gnarly rash. We were taken care of so well. I honestly don’t think you could pay someone to be as kind and helpful as they were
For those looking for peace and quiet and plenty of activities to boot, this is the place. Every staff member was accommodating, and helpful. The food was wonderful. This island is worth the extra time to get to it....don't walk....run to Hadahaa!
The hotel does not have a kids club, so the place reserved for children does not match. there are no professionally trained personnel dealing with children. The kids program is terrible. Learning to lasagna on a palm tree? how is that possible! no even the smallest gift for children, no attention to children for the new year! the food at the hotel is not tasty, only the local Maldivian or Asian cuisine is tasty, the rest of the European cuisine is terrible! also the water provided by the hotel smells of chlorine and is impossible to drink!
We have had the most incredible experience here. My husband is a Hyatt Globalist and we travel a lot, so we have seen our share of hotels. The service here is almost unmatched. We had an incredible Villa host Shahum who did everything in his power to make our trip unique and special. The location is a bit further out than other resorts, but we felt that made it feel more private and relaxing. There is a really relaxed vibe here. There is nothing flashy ostentatious. There were no influencers. It felt like our own private island experience, especially when we were in our Villa. We have two must try recommendations here - 1) The Treehouse Dinner - don’t be scared by the all veg menu- it is perfection and truly fresh and unique. Chef Loki is kind, passionate about food, and truly humble. He creates food that reflects his passion and really makes you feel honored to eat it. 2) The Equator Experience - not only do you get to swim across the equator, but the reef you can snorkel in is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Also, there are the cutest fruit bats on the property that are so sweet and endearing. They aren’t scary and are basically the seagulls of the island but so much cuter.…
All I really want to say is how amazing our butler, Shahum, was. He really went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. I know that soundscliché, but he surprised us with upgrades and personal touches that we couldn't have imagined. My one bit of advice is to please bring ample cash to tip your butler! If they are anything like Shahum, they totally deserve it.
Heavenly place. Magnificent reef !! Perfect little island . Timeless. One thing - PH needs to think about beach /food/drink relationship and more umbrellas outside rooms , both in the shady leaf tunnel and on beach. beach service is non existent. Fantastic people , great food, best service - but again it falls apart when you are outside your room on the beach . Towels, ice, drinks, moving umbrellas are really taking away from the day. Love this place. Highly recommend it. Not super fancy but all that extra stuff takes away from the location. It reminds me of The iconic Post Ranch Inn in California. Just perfect.
Personally for me, this is as close to a private island experience as it gets without getting on some sort of survivors like TV show. Super clean beach with soft white sand and clear ocean water., A very rich marine life. The hotel staff was super responsive and always willing to help. Although pretty pricey and very remote, this was once in a lifetime kind of experience for us which we will forever cherish! We thank Park Hyatt Maldives from bottom of our hearts for such an amazing experience. We truly appreciate it!
* By far one of the most naturally beautiful islands in the Maldives. * Intimate, natural, beautiful setting. This is the quintessential high-end Maldivian experience * Ecologically conscious, impressive use of sustainable solar energy. * One of the best values for luxury in Maldives, no doubt. * Service oriention is wonderful. Senior host Shahum is really outstanding, from his attention to detail to his authenticity, care, patience and capability. His assistance is really special, what a great host, with extensive knowledge of the property and clearly knows how to handle every situation with grace and accountability. What a great host leader for the property. * Ushaan (Usam) is also a gem. Such an amazing presence, attitude, and so helpful – very special team member in terms of capability and energy. * Ankit managing F&B and Bhaskar are very good and helpful. * Thank you to PH Maldives for another amazing experience!!…
If you want to experience paradise on earth, this is definitely the place to visit. Outstanding service coupled with extremely friendly and competent staff are only 2 attributes experienced. The kitchen delivers excellent food that will exceed your expectations. The Beach Villas are spectacular and have direct access to a pristine white sandy beach or one stays in a Water Villa that’s built on the ocean. Water temperatures of 29degC make snorkeling or swimming very comfortable. I’ll definitely return to this wonderful place.
