The hostel was great, we had the small cabin next to the outdoor kitchen and it was great. I'm 6'6" and had no issues with the cabin or bed. The outdoor shower was definitely a plus, hot and great pressure.
We will definitely return for another stay.

This was our second time to this peaceful secret gem. It has gotten even better than last time. The sauna is still amazing right on the beach. They've added a cool outdoor shower. We rented kayaks and watched stunning sunsets.

My partner and I found this place on a booking sight last minute for the labor day weekend. I instantly fell in love with the remote location on Malcolm Island.

Our cabin with the ocean view down the steep hill from the main house was spectacular! Our cabin had everything we needed with our own private outhouse, shared shower house (never had to wait), fully loaded outdoor kitchen w/ BBQ and the greatest amenity the traditional Finnish Sauna! What an amazing way to start the day, fire up the wood burning stove in the sauna and take in the outstsnding view of the beach and ocean.

We felt so at home here, our hosts were welcoming and helpful. It was hard to leave after 3 nights, we were so relaxed and knew we'd be missing our morning routine. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a remote, rustic and relaxing spot!

We lucked into finding this new hostel on Malcolm Island. It is right on the ocean. We booked the ocean view cabin which was cozy ($40/night for 2 of us). The hosts were helpful and had tons of local knowledge. It was quiet and so relaxing. There is a cool outdoor kitchen too. We poked our heads into the dorms too which look spacious. The lounge area looks out at the ocean. We were able to rent kayaks for exploring a bit more of the island from the ocean. We're hoping to come back again next summer for a longer stay.
