Rustic, it's an island! The power gets turned off at night. The hotel provides flash lights and water to flush the toilet. Bring your own shampoo and soap, there is only a little bar of soap at the hotel. The bed are a queen size and hard and a little squeaky. But the ocean view is awesome. The food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar is pretty expensive, dinner ranges from $18 -$28 a plate. We paid $60 for a salad, 2 pieces fish and chips and two beers. All rooms are above the bar, the night we were there, the was a band playing which finished at midnight, that was ok, everyone left then at 1am karaoke started with a few island folk which ended at 3am. So not the best night for us. Most likely to never return.

We booked an ocean view room with balcony for two nights. You couldn’t beat the sunset view at night however there are some things you should be aware of before staying here. There is no soap or shampoo left for you to use. Not even soap to wash your hands The power goes off when the pub closes which could be anywhere from 9pm to 12am. The water also is shut off when the pub closes. They do give you a pitcher of water but if you want more I suggest buying some bottles of water or asking for two pitchers of water. The pillows were paper thin and we would have appreciated having more than one each. The room is basic but clean. No tv and the WiFi works but it’s not very good as it constantly kicks you off and you have to rejoin every couple of minutes The bar staff were friendly and the food was good. There is not much to do on lasqueti island especially without a car so you probably don’t need to spend more than a night. The locals are very friendly and helpful but everything is very expensive which is to be expected on a remote island. Overall we enjoyed our stay but we wouldn’t return mostly because there is not much to do without transportation
