We were there on September with 4 kids. Arusha is a great place, not to be missed. ! Great park , beautiful wild life, mount mero, good energy in the air, Hatari lodge? How can I define it. Strange. Reminded me of" hotel California…" Let's start with good things. Clean, very nice design, good view, and tasty food. Service is...

We only wanted to get away on a short break but what a gettaway it was! Stunning location, great rooms with loads of attention to detail and uncountable tlc put into it. Great food, company and hosts. Sundowners on the new jetty going out to the water hole with loads of buffalo not more than 20 metres away. What else...

The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully presented. Meals were delicious and varied - 3 meals a day. Before breakfast, you will be served a friendly cup of coffee or tea in your bedroom! If you choose, Peter can take you out on a game drive. He has a passion for birds and is very knowledgeable on this subject. The location...

If you like a nice view and you will to be close on the entrance of Arusha National Park, that's the only advantage you have to come here. Have been two times in 3 years in this place: always a terrible management! That's the only place in Tanzania in wich you don't feel at home. The Managers look and treat...

Dear Luca, I am the owner of the Hatari Lodge and shocked to read about the latest review. Why would somebody return back to a place in such a short time only to complain? and when he/she did not like it in the 1st place? this does not make any sense. We just came back from a weekend away at Hatari lodge. We loved it. The rooms were beautiful, very retro and funky and exceptionally comfortable. The food was sensational, the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing and the views were amazing. We loved seeing the Giraffe in the garden (our two 3 year old children were delighted and are still talking about...

We spent only one night at Hatari Lodge but I am very impressed by the Tutonic efficiency the place was run. The own grown vegetables and fruits were yummy, best rockets I'd had for a while. The rooms were nice, quirky but cheerfully welcoming, animal heads (fake) adorn the walls. The fireplace was a nice touch, unfortunate our friends' room...

I visited Hatari Lodge with my four children (youngest 15, oldest 23) in August 2011. We stayed four nights, 2 either side of our ascent of Meru. We then had 3 nights at Shu`mata camp. We had the most wonderful time! We thought Hatari, the food, the service, the friendliness of the owners and their team to be really first...

“No rooms are too far from the main mess/house area. They are all in a tight cluster and form what i could see they were all rather similar, albeit decorated with different motifs and styles, and all very elegantly and eclectically. Whatever room you choose, make sure you have a torch or flashlight handy and be almost packed if you are departing early...as the generator only kicks in at 0730 or later. Wifi in the room did not work...and I was very close to the main house, but it did work fine at the main house. Of course once the generator is off...no wifi is available.”
