For the price I was not impressed with my experience at Fuego del Sol. There was a nice pool area but it was hard to enjoy with all the teenagers. This is definitely a young person's hangout. I found our room to be dingy and a little kitschy. I asked for an extra towel to use at the pool and... More

I have stayed at this house three times. We really like the place. The rooms are fine. Not over the top but perfect for being right on the beach. The pool is GREAT. The hammocks on the beach to sink into and enjoy the breezes and a good book. The restaurant is good also. The breakfast is very good and... More

We stayed one night here. Beach was great but the hotel was not. Staff of one didn't speak enough English to understand that I wanted a hand towel and a wash cloth...there were none in the room. Grounds were littered with trash but the worst thing was the air conditioner. It either leaked or there was so much condensation that... More

This hotel is right on the beach, this might mislead people to thinking it's actually worth what you pay. It's not. The bathrooms were gross, not properly cleaned and way outdated. There were mice in the ceilings (of the 4-people apartment/suite) and the maids only came once during our 3 day stay. The pool was not very clear; it had... More

Quiet place near Jaco beach. Rooms need to be painted, old curtains are hanging and old ugly comforters are on bed, new bathrooms needed, ours looked clean but it had old stains everywhere (room 20).....The room has a nice view to the pool and to the beach! Employees are very nice!

I really needed a good night sleep after camping for a week in the jungle, for the price I expected a real dump but I was wrong. My feet were in the ocean 30 seconds from my door, beds were fine, the food was terrific & very reasonably priced. Perfect stop, might stay another night.

Ant infestation in room, bathrooms where filthy, pool was very murky and hotel was run down. Wifi did not reach the rooms (only at front dest) Staff were nice and gave us wood for a fire on the beach every night. Good location although the beach is dangerous to swim on because of strong rip-tides

The hotel looks good on the outside picture, but that is not what you get. It seems as they have not changed any beds, linen, pillows, curtains, etc in decades. It is not a place where a decent person can sleep, or at least sleep well. The pool was so dirty that we were afraid our kids would be sick after... More
