Detailed Reviews
Cleanest showers and bathroom facilities I had on the entire trip. Hot water all the time, plenty of space in the shower to keep your things dry.
Wi-Fi surprisingly good and the pool is a nice touch. Staff are friendly also
It can be a bit loud at night seeing that it is located right on the main road

We stayed therein a room as part of the Kenya, Tanzania tour through Perfect Wilderness Safari, Nairobi . The room was big and had good furniture. The ambience also was good. Common facilities available there for the tented accommodations also found to be neat and clean.

We stayed at the Twiga Lodge while visiting Lake Manyara National Park. We stayed in guest room and found it pleasant and quiet. The grounds also were nice and well used by tenters. The restaurant was good.

I stayed at Twiga on two separate stays in Sep 2022. My tour operator charged me $200 USD per night. For this price I had fairly high expectations, so I became fussy with the details. I was given one of their standard townhouse style rooms.
The room was clean and the bed linen was fine
I took a shower in the late afternoon and there was only a trickle of hot water.
Not that I was there to watch TV but the TV was one of those old chunky CRT sets that I last saw 20 years ago. To watch involved unplugging the mini bar fridge, and viewing it through the mosqito net.
The lodge has free WiFi but it only works near the bar area and not from the rooms.
I did like central green space of lawn and trees as provides a calming, relaxing atmosphere.
The bar man who served me exemplified the Tanzanian spirit of friendliness and warm-heartedness

Used the structure as a campsite, the tents were good, the organization that prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners for us. Bathroom and where common, clean. Having used the swimming pool, they also organize visits to the village and its activities. Nearby there is a market stocked with essential things.

The campsite is nice, but the toilets and showers lack privacy. They are designed by an idiot, without any imagination.
As the toilets and showers have transparent doors, EVERYONE can see you taking bath. And you can see men in the toilet. Very unplesant experience.

Our final night on safari was spent at this very nice lodge outside the parks. Lovely room and great atmosphere with outdoor tables and bars, good food in the restaurant, and really helpful staff. The pool looked lovely but we did not have time to try it.

The rooms are large and the beds netted, I initially thought that this was a reasonable (very) budget option close to the Park. However, my friends and I were all charged incorrect amounts for drinks based on false USD exchange rates, one of us twice. When we pointed out the errors, the charge was corrected, but it appeared to be a bit much for it to be coincidence (four times in twenty four hours). On that basis alone, I wouldn't stay here again, but the food was also terrible.

I stayed at Twiga Lodge for two nights of a three day safari which I had arranged in advance in Arusha. It is in the small town of Mto Wa Mbu, outside the parks, but close to Lake Manyara Park, and reasonably convenient for Tarangire Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge has pleasant large gardens, and bungalow accomodation. The room was rather plain, but OK for purpose, as most visitors would be out on Safari all day. Early breakfast was available

- Camped for the night on way to the Serengeti
- Cultural walk in the village is awesome
- Toilets clean (but no paper)
- Shower hot
- They were trying to regrow the grass, which resulted in mud everywhere.
- Bar and pool area great to relax.
- Woken up early due to the Mosque being right next door.
