I have been a regular visitor to The Bathurst Arms over the past few years, using this pretty pub as a base for visiting family. However, I'm afraid to say, I will not be staying there (or eating there) ever again. We had booked dinner for the evening of our arrival, but the menu for the restaurant bore no resemblance...

Had 2 nights here a few weeks ago. The pub itself is a lovely Cotswold stone building with plenty of seating areas. Good selection of beer, a couple of lagers and reasonable wine list (avoid the Chilean Merlot - the worst I've ever tasted!). The menu is incredibly limited with 5 starters and 5 mains - all very meat orientated....

My family and I stayed here for 1 night to attend a wedding a few miles away. The rooms were charming and clean. Typical cottage style rooms and the staff were friendly and helpful! Breakfast was also v. good with young staff very attentive. All in all, contributed to a lovely weekend!

A group of 14 friends were invited for a coffee morning at the Bathurst. We were received warmly by the staff on duty. The fire was glowing nicely, warming the room to just the right temperature. Furniture was willingly moved to accommodate us all and great French Presses of coffee were served with yummy biscuits. Our coats were put away...

On my second night I arrived back at Bathurst Arms at 11.45pm to find the premises locked, and my key for the external door did not fit. I had mistakenly been given two internal keys for my room. I spent 30 minutes outside in the rain knocking on the door and ringing reception but there was nobody there. I had...

This place trades on their Cotswold location as a reason to fleece you. The place should be renamed the Fleece Inn or The highway robber. They charge £80 for a room which is worth around £30 max. Four star prices and you actually get a grotty, shabby, tired old room with nothing to add any level of luxury whatsoever. After...

Stumbled in needing a place to stay on the way from Cheltenham to Poole. Cosy country pub with an ecclectic friendly group of locals decent food and an OK place to rest my weary head. Well kept beer and friendly efficient staff. Room could have been cleaner and looked as though it was on the back end of its sell...

I spend most of my working week staying in hotels, so have experienced quite a few in my time. This one was not good. At £80 for a 1 night stay I was expecting a lot better. We got a poky dark room on the first floor at the back of the hotel. The room was cold, bare and not...

OK its a pub with rooms, not a hotel, but our experience was not impressive. The Bathhust Arms is an attractive old coaching pub between Cirencester and Cheltenham and gets good reviews in the Good Pub Guide. We booked two adjoining rooms for one night and received written confirmation. Upon checking in, we were shocked to find there was no...

We stayed at the Bathurst Arms mid-week as part of an overnight trip to buy equipment in Cheltenham for my recording studio based back at home in Kent. We arrived mid to late evening and were welcomed by a very helpful, friendly and pleasant young lady who showed us straight to our room. We asked if we were too late...
