Anguilla is an amazing gem, the best kept secret in the Caribbean. No nasty cruise ships full of fat demanding American junk shoppers, no St. Thomas-esc 3 MPH bumper to bumper traffic that consumes hours of your time traveling a few short miles. No bad...More
Good: This Hotel is in a good location near the beach. We stayed here 6 years ago and came back because we enjoyed our first stay. This stay was as good as our first stay. We would go back here in the future. The Hotel...More
I had the pleasure of staying at the Allamanda Beach Club from January 5th - January 23rd. I would highly recommend this resort for the tranquility and peacefulness that we had on our vacation. Just a short stroll to Shoal Bay, this spot is truly...More
We just returned from a trip to Anguilla where we stayed at the Allamanda Beach Club. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly.
Really short walk to Shoal Bay Beach. The beach is beautiful and there is hardly anyone on it....More
Third time staying here, last time being in 1999. The rooms are adequate, nothing special. Great location on Shoal Bay, which is obviously the main attraction when coming to Anguilla.
Most of the beach bars/restaurants on this beach are cash only, so bring money!

There is a pool, but this is not really the place to pick if you want to be near restaurants, etc. You will be right on Shoal Bay which is amazing, but there isn't any beach left directly off the resort, so you will have to walk a ways down to enjoy the beach. There are a few beach bars in walking distance, but anything more you would need to rent a car and drive to the popular restaurants/resorts. The last time I was there, the pool area needed a lot of work, but that was many years ago. Hope this helps!
