My fiance and I spent a weekend at the Allamanda in June. It was low season, so it was very quiet. The staff was friendly, although we only saw them to check in and out. The pool was small and did not appear to be...More
I stayed at Allamanda for 9 nights, Feb 19-28, with my husband, two kids(9&11) and my sister and brother in law. We had a great time and thought Allamanda was a great deal.

My husband and I just returned from our much anticipated visit to Anguilla. We decided upon the Allamanda after reading other reviews, and after speaking to friends who had stayed on Shoal Bay at another resort.

We loved this hotel! Not too expensive. VERY close to the beach and at the end of the beach which made it less crowded. The staff is very nice and room. The place is clean with a nice restaurant, and great landscaping around the pool.

There is a pool, but this is not really the place to pick if you want to be near restaurants, etc. You will be right on Shoal Bay which is amazing, but there isn't any beach left directly off the resort, so you will have to walk a ways down to enjoy the beach. There are a few beach bars in walking distance, but anything more you would need to rent a car and drive to the popular restaurants/resorts. The last time I was there, the pool area needed a lot of work, but that was many years ago. Hope this helps!
