We echo other reviewers in raving about the breakfasts - they rivaled those great breakfasts served in B&Bs in the UK! We especially appreciated that they accommodated my husband's need for a gluten free (celiac) breakfast. We had a lovely stay in the cottage, which provided extra space and the ability to prepare picnic lunches. The cottage is not "modern," but very comfortable, homey, clean, and functional. We appreciated being able to walk to town - especially for that fabulous Saturday Market! Len provided wonderful hospitality throughout our stay. We would definitely return to - and highly recommend - Wisteria Guest House.
Situated in a quiet road whilst only ten minute walk to all the amenities Ganges has to offer. We stayed in the “Cottage” with comfortable rooms and bed. Nice warm bathroom with modern fittings, decent shower pressure, good quality toiletries and plentiful towels. TV and DVD in room and good free WiFi. The breakfasts were excellent and varied and individually cooked/made and brought to the table. Decent coffee and a variety of teas. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and willing to take time to interact with the guests The gardens were delightful and there were humming birds to be seen on occasions. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Would liked to have stayed longer. William and Cherrie
There are so many great things about the Wisteria Guest House... To begin, it's in a great location, only about 10 minute walk to town. The Guest House itself is very charming with all kinds of memorabilia spread throughout. The bed was comfy and the room very clean. The grounds were also lovely although it was cool while we were there so not much outdoor time. Perhaps the best thing about this B&B however, is the amazing breakfast! We were there 2 nights so enjoyed 2 different breakfasts - truly remarkable! The owner (Len) was friendly, helpful, and prompt with replies and information. I definitely recommend this place!
We stayed at the Wisteria Guest House B&B during the first week of April 2022. Everything about this Guest House is perfect from the proprietors to the resident (and very friendly!) cat. Our room was spotless and perfect for our stay. Breakfast was simply amazing and each of us will be trying to recreate the incredible muesli first course when we get home. I highly recommend and we will definitely book again if we are heading to Salt Spring Island!
We loved everything about our stay at Wisteria! We stayed in room 4, which is located on the front corner of the main building. Right away, we were charmed by the boho furnishings, which were colourful, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly equipped and even had extra touches like makeup pads, q-tips and special bath salts. The room was quiet and provided a good sleep. Not enough can be said about how delicious the food was!! The owners (Len, Beverly and Kimoko) are very personable and professional. The dinning room was setup so that guests had plenty of social distancing but could also chat. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day. And a shout-out is also needed for Steve, the cat, who welcomed us at the door almost everyone. He has a great purr and even let me pick him up for a cuddle. We will book again!! …
Nieces rooms, nice dinner room and living room, with spending antiquity. The most friendly cat ever will keep you good compagnie. Good location. Good breakfast with adaptation for food intolerance. I Highly recommend it
We had an excellent experience at Wisteria Guest House. Warm staff, friendly and helpful. Our suite (studio #2) Has all appliances that allow us to bring lunch or even make tea/coffee. The bathroom is small and well-decorated, with a heated floor, body wash - shampoo and conditioner dispenser; I brought my hairdryer, but they have it in this unit What I’ve had miss: a Bathroom Handicap Safety Grab Bar. Breakfast: be prepared for a gourmet breakfast experience in a cozy and curious room. Our table was next to a dollhouse. So cute! Attention: it is not a buffet or continental breakfast. Well located (10 minutes walking to the Ganges). We strongly recommend Wisteria Guest House to anyone visiting Salt Spring.
I really liked Wisteria guest house for many reasons. Len and his family were very welcoming. And it really felt family owned. The type of place that makes you feel like you're a part of the family. Especially their little fur friend Steve. By far the nicest cat I've met lol. I'd also like to mention that you'll see a lot of reviews about how good their food is? Well that's because it's true. You can tell that they have a passion for making their guests happy, and you can really see it in their cooking. Give this place a chance and I promise you will not regret it.
Loved the breakfast. They always make sure you are comfortable. Len and family self serve you breakfast. the place has detailed decor. perfect for a day or two night stay. would surely visit the again.
Excellent experience. Owners were helpful in directions, where to eat, what to see etc. Room was eclectic, comfortable and clean. The private bathroom was a great size and very well appointed. However, if you go, do not miss the Michelin star breakfast! Amazing. Well worth the visit. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
