Firendly hosts, a quaint old pub in a historical market town, good beer and clean tidy good quality accommodation. You can't really ask for more. As ours was an overnight stay, we didn't sample the food in the restaurant, so this is a review of the accommodation. We were allocated room 17, which is in the rear annex. Car parking...

We called in for lunch during a shopping trip to Easingwold. After a friendly welcome we were shown directly to a table and our orders taken promptly. Meals are all cooked to order, so be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes depending on your order. The atmosphere was very pleasant with only the murmur of conversation from other guests, the background...

A well needed break. Greeted by very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Room lovely, food delicious, good chefs, Black Sheep beer went down well. Easingwold is a lovely town to spend time walking round. Bus stop right opposite The George to get to York or Thirsk. Parking no problem. Thanks to Michael, Kay, Chris and all the girls for a wonderful...

We stayed few nights ago as a stop over to Durham. Really good food and drink and friendly staff but our main memory from this visit is the smell when you go upstairs to your room there is a very stagnant odour and all our clothes had this odour the next day as it's in the room as well ....

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. After the event, our management team is unable to investigate the problem properly. Perhaps, advising us of your concerns during your overnight stay or on checkout, when you were asked if everything had been to your satisfaction, would have alleviated the need for you having to air your grievance on a...

Lovely room in this friendly hotel in the centre of Easingwold. The room was immaculate with everything you might need. We ate in the hotel and the food was delicious and very good value - breakfast was great too with plenty of choice - including smoked salmon and scrambled eggs if you wanted it! The town itself is not too...

Great service, especially the manager overseeing proceedings. Good value and perfect portion size and Quality ingredients cooked just how it should be done. Highly recommend a visit even if you live a little outside of York.

Right in the centre of Easingwold, just north of York; we much preferred that location to the hustle and bustle of evening York and the attendant parking problems. The George is wonderfully tradional...none of this artisan nonsense, but a very wide ranging menu. We took a while deciding what to have but in the end opted for roast beef...and it...

My first time in Yorkshire. Really welcoming people. Great food. Good breakfasts. Good ales. Room spotlessly clean. Will definitely stay there next time I'm in that area. So much better than a faceless chain hotel. Thank you.

My wife and I went to The George Hotel twice for an evening Meal whilst on holiday. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the food was really good. The homemade pie was excellent in quality. Would recommend.
