My wife and I (both 65) came to the Yoi Eco Lodge for five nights in early March of 2017 and are very glad we did. The Lodge is about two hours up the Amazon from Leticia; and at the mouth of the Amacayacu river, one of innumerable tributaries, we changed boats and came up this river for another forty-five...

I was traveling Colombia solo and wanted to experience something out of the norm. After much research I decided I wanted to camp in the middle of the jungle and Yoi Ecolodge offered just that! I stayed for 3 days and to sum it up, it was an experience of a lifetime. Food: Exceeded my expectations. Very large portions. The...

Pro: -Great location, deep in the jungle -All-inclusive trip; no need to book tours or boats separately -Knowledgable guide -Meals were fine Con: -Roof leaked in our bathroom during rain; bathroom was dirty -We got bedbug bites; mattress was old and saggy -Rude kitchen staff -Boot scam: paid 45,000 COP (now 50,000 on website) for boots that are widely sold...

When we decided to go to the Amazonas, it was quite hard to find a local guide. When we found Yoi Eco Tours, they helped us with everything! They gave is advice and they gave us the information we need. First day, we arrived in Leticia, pick up at the airport, transport by public boat and pick up by our...

It was our family's (two adults, two teenagers) first time traveling to the Amazon and we felt very well taken care of from our pu at the airport in Leticia to the drop off again. The activities offered by the lodge are lovely: They're personalized, informative and very respectful to its breathtakingly rich environment, culturally as well as in regard...

This is the only way to experience the Amazon. The cabins were rustic but nice with a cold shower and flush toilet. Lights are by candle or the lanterns we brought. Good is good for where you are and no refrigeration. You have your own guide for the entire time. The monkey rehab place was the highlight. Not sure where...

Highly recommend this place tucked waaaay deep into the Amazon. I had never been to South America, don't speak Spanish and was traveling alone. I don't considered myself an extremely adventurous traveler so I wanted something where I felt safe yet still experience the jungle and not feel like I was in a Disney World resort. This place was perfect:...

I can't say enough good things about our experience with YOI Ecotours. I had a vision of celebrating my 40th birthday with a semi-crazy 5-day trek deep into the Amazon and they made it happen. And as the icing on the cake, Julian was able to arrange for us to accompany the research team from the Maikuchiga monkey rehabilitation center...

Why we loved our experience with Yoi EcoTours: 1. It's the Amazon rainforest 2. Julian and his team are fantastic guides; helpful, courteous, very knowledgable about both cultural history and natural ecology, and strong advocates for animal and habitat conservation 3. Surprise-filled excursions include (but are not limited to) visits to the monkey sanctuary, hammock camping in the jungle, eye-opening...

My family and I visited Yoi back in April of this year and cannot sing enough praises for Julian and his team. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the food is fresh and delicious and the staff are as loving and family-oriented as you can ever want. We traveled with our thirteen year old son and eleven month old daughter. We...
