Our first booking had to be postponed due to ill-health, but the hotel was most accommodating, even upgrading us to a ground floor room with sea views, when they learned of my wife's disability. We booked in early, but that didn't faze them -- we merely waited in the wonderful bar, enjoying the views until our room was ready. The...

We walked to St Michaels Mount, noticed the location of the Godlphin Arms so when we returned from the Mount in the late afternoon, had drinks and a meal there. The view of the Mount is stunning, picture postcard stuff. The meal was good as was the food. We made enquires regarding room rates & which rooms face the Mount....

Location cannot be faulted. Grab yourself a table with a view and you're in for a treat. Food was of a good standard but I felt it was overpriced, perhaps I was paying for the view... The same view I could get outside for nothing. None the less a great afternoon spent with friends

Lovely atmosphere. Great food. Restaurant was busy but service still very good. Would definitely go back to this restaurant. Lovely views. Manager helpful as we had to ask if we could park outside. He directed us to where we could park safely outside.

Because none of the tables outside were cleared when customers had finished there were many tables being dive bombed by seagulls, this seems to be lack of basic management of staff deployment to ensure good service and hygeine

We stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. Room spotless. Staff super friendly. However service was a bit hit and miss. We ate in the restaurant on the first night at 8pm but they had run out of steak, pork and something else leaving a not large menu even smaller. That aside my third choice of hake was excellent....

The location was amazing and our room was superb . It was overlooking the beach near a little island where you could catch a boat or just walk across to St Michaels Mount on the causeway in the morning when the tide was out . I would definitely return here . The breakfast was full of different choices & delicious...

Fabulous short 3 night break here. Sea view rooms amazing. Could sit and look at that view all day! Beds huge and so comfortable. Great room facilities including fab coffee machine and small fridge with fresh milk. Staff at all points, at reception, housekeeping and restaurant all lovely and friendly. Nothing seemed like too much trouble to make your stay...

A really first class venue, quality you pay for, and it was delivered in spades. Excellent service, attention to detail the fish tasted as if they were still swimming, staff not over attentive but listened to what you said and were there when you needed them.

This hotel is worth going to for the location alone. We did not stay here but went for coffee and snack before visiting St Michael's Mount. Staff very friendly and large out-door seating area. I cannot comment on accommodation as we only visited but it all looked very pleasant.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Godolphin Arms is on the water’s edge of Mount’s Bay along a two mile stretch of beach in the historic market town of Marazion, West Cornwall. It overlooks the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, with one of the most magnificent beachside views in the country.Following a major renovation inside and out, the Godolphin Arms has recently reopened its doors unveiling a warm and welcoming beachside inn – a place to eat, drink or stay and explore the unspoilt beauty of the South West coast. Our stunning coastal location has inspired the design, bringing the natural beauty of the beach outside in with relaxed, mellow living spaces and a stunning centrepiece - a two storey light-bathed glass and zinc dining area opening out onto a balcony upstairs and a terrace downstairs. Walk straight in off the beach to our colourful and chilled-out beach bar, linger on the beachside terrace with friends or relax and unwind on the comfy sofas and chairs by the woodburner. Eating at the Godolphin Arms is a relaxed and informal affair and we offer an all-day menu to be enjoyed whatever the occasion or mood. Our food philosophy is simple; we want to provide freshly cooked food that tastes delicious, is beautifully presented and showcases the quality and seasonality of local Cornish produce.Whether you choose to eat, drink or stay in one of our ten en-suite bedrooms, the team will be delighted to welcome you and will do all they can to ensure your stay with us is both memorable and enjoyable. ... more   less
