We stayed at the Polebarn for three nights as a base for researching some family history in Trowbridge. It was a great choice. Liam and Natasha were excellent hosts and have done a fantastic job of making this hotel a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and breakfasts were generous and delicious. We... More

Only had a one night stay unfortunately - would have loved to stay longer. Beautiful building. Very friendly owner who could not do enough for us. Very informative about the area and where to go to eat, drink and be merry. We managed to get the last room available, which was at the very top of the house up a... More

...but my party included two couples and when we saw the size of their rooms I couldn't believe it. HUGE! My single was fine but their rooms? HUGE! As it is an old building sound proofing is not the best as I gound out at twenty to four when the chap in the next room came back and dropped his... More

Stayed for 1 night on business. Hotel has its own car park and room for a small number of cars. Good that it is central to town and not far from restaurants and bars I had a room right at the top. I struggled with overnight case, laptop and briefcase as there were no lifts! The room was spacious but... More

Need to stay near Bath formwork on aore reasonable budget and found this little gem. Lovely Georgian house, kindly converted with warm and friendly staff. Could have done with a fan as it was a warm night, that's my only slight negative.

A warm & friendly welcome awaited us when we arrived, making this a great start to a fab weekend. We had prior warning that we had the 'smallest' bedroom however we found it was a great size for the two of us. Ample parking in a central location & was given a door key so a curfew couldn't stop us... More

On family business, we had a 2 night stay in the Polebarn Trowbridge. We were pleasantly surprised by the " old town " location and very pleasantly surprised by the preserved décor of the reception area. The room and bathroom were scrupulously clean and comfortable. The food was tasty and freshly prepared. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

We spent one night here visiting the area for a ruby wedding celebration. We were a party of four and had two very large rooms on the first floor. We were very pleased with the accommodation and the breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfasts freshly cooked to order. The lady who greeted us was very pleasant and... More

We stayed at The Polebarn for one night recently. Our room was large and very comfortable and clearly fairly recently refurbished. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and big with great sized shower although the water pressure was slightly low. Breakfast was fine. The building has an interesting history and is nicely decorated and furnished with many original features. We were... More
