Went to a rave in nearby Westbury, the hotel served as peace and tranquility where we could recoup once the event was over. Set just off the main road, the building does appear dated however, the rooms were great for relaxing. We didn't use the hotel facilities, which include a gym and an indoor pool. I would suggest the price of the room is value for money and we will be frequenting the hotel a bit more when in the area. Furthermore, Sue on reception is a star! Warm, friendly and welcoming. Thanks for your help Sue!! Andy, Ryan and Ben

Room Tip: The room with a balcony was good and we took full advantage of the balcony to get some fresh air....

Great place to stay. Beautiful building and set away from the road. Although the room looks a bit tired the staff were great. The breakfast was really good with plenty to eat. The room sizes are huge, we were impressed. The location is in the middle of plenty of attractions like Stonehenge, Longleat and Bath. Loved it.

Unfortunately hotel stays are often spoilt by the other guests. Noisy people in the next room can make it a miserable experience. Add guests who allow their children to run amok in the dining room and you wish you had chosen somewhere else. This is not the hotel’s fault but absence of staff meant no chance of doing anything about it. Service dreadfully slow. Breakfast was poor quality (cheap) ingredients. Not recommended.

A grand old house .... now a hotel. Breakfast included. Quirky and atmospheric ..... there is a restaurant there in non-covid times .... would be a lovely place to eat ! Friendly staff (husband & wife team ?), comfortable room with ensuite. With the huge bonus of a pool (& gym). Very keenly priced, roughly half way between Ireland ferry & London. I have already booked for my return trip !
