I took a suite as on a previous trip I had a good experience with it. The hotel had undergone a renovation and I hoped that my stay would be even better. Unfortunately, I was badly disappointed. The otherwise large and airy room and anteroom had damp and plaster showing in some places. No hot water was available and the...

The only proper hotel in Shantiniketan/Bolpur. Property is nice. Rooms were small but cosy. Bed was confortable Breakfast and other food was average. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Problem with running hot water in bathroom. A big problem in winter. Room rate was bit high compared to the quality of hotel.

I visited Santiniketan in end December on a short trip and stayed here. The property is nice with a lot of possibilities. Unfortunately it has not been maintained to its potential. There is a club inside supposedly with indoor games. However, that is now defunct and run down. There is a nice space to have some ethnic shops. However, they...

At the outset, the property looks good and huge. But the maintenance is very average and does not befit the tag of "By Royal Orchids.." We stayed for one night but the experience is not very good. There is no running hot water which is supposed to be in this class of hotels. There were serious issues with the food...

Full Service Tax charged extra at hotel which was completely unexpected. Stay was comfortable. Food was good. Location was a bit outside but not bad. recommended to stay for small vacations only. room service was not good as we had to ask for small things repeatedly.

Service and staff behaviour is excellent. Room is average. There was no hot water supply because of defective central boiler. Any case hot water is available only in morning. Bathroom does not have an exhaust and there is no view worth talking from window. The hotel is more oriented towards conferences and bulk booking. At approx Rs.7000/- per day not...

very poor maintenance, and charged tax above what I have already paid in online. Hotel management said there is a calculation error with online booking agent so I have to pay Rs 800 more as a tax. within that tax amount any one can book a standard hotel in Santinikaten.

This price are not fixed. The marketing people starts bargaining with price as soon as they see the phone is from outside India. Calling from three different sources I got three different rates. Even if you call to the office at Kolkata, they insist to call their agent for negotiation.
