Spending a week here is nice but there's absolutely room for improvement. Restaurant offers a narrow selection of food, and after a week here you run out of choices. The fact the the restaurant is closed on Saturdays, when you as a member should have 20% discount was a disappointment, especially with the poor selection of restaurants in town. We... More

Hotel choices in Gallivare are limited, and the Scandic is certainly acceptable.Located a few blocks from the city center, it is an older hotel/motel that has been completely refurbished. Rooms are Scandinavian style, functional, and clean. Breakfast had both hot and cold cold components. In my opinion it is priced too high for what is offered.

Nice, clean and cozy hotel, friendly staff. Free drinks at your disposal 24/7 in the lobby, where is nice and comfortable to sit with friends or collegues and admire the live fire in the fireplace. Has free WiFi throughout the hotel and free parking with possibility to preheat the car with cold weather. Free breakfast, gym, sauna and indoor pool.... More

Situated off centre, but being one of two hotells in the town, the prices are high. The rooms are of average sizes, averagely cleen. All rooms have separate bathrooms, ok. The nicest place is probably the restaurant with a forthcoming and pleasant staff.

Gällivare is a town with limited options to experience. The Liza is an excellent choice to stay by any standards. The exterior might be considered outdated but when you get in you find a hotel aiming for the best. The service at reception was friendly and welcoming. The room was basic but completely functional and modernized. The wifi speed was... More

This is an good option in Gallivare. The hotel is couple of blocks from the main street, but you need a taxi to the train station. The city is small but cute. Full of turists that are sicking to see the midnight sun from the pick of Dundra mountain. Very good breakfast and the coffe and cookies are free the... More

We spend 4 pleasant nights in Liza Hotell before and at the end of our hiking trip in Sweden. The first two nights we were in one of the older parts of the hotel, the beds were good but the room looked more dated than the room we spend the last two nights in. The staff is very friendly and... A little way out from the centre but an easy 10 minute walk to the train station this is a very nice hotel to stay in. The rooms are large and very pleasantly furnished. We were impressed that the hotel was staffed when we arrived after 2200 even though they had been kind enough to email me the access door... More

At a first glance the hotel looks like nothing special but the inside is really something specail! Nice and cozy, the romms are ordinary but very quiet and modern. Tha staff is superb, we were under some pressure going to a meeting and they helped us out copying documents and more, they are really service minded. There are possibilities for... More

I stayed one night in March 2013. I guess that the buildings are from 1970's, but the hotel is in good condition and feels like a modern hotel. Shower in the room was a bit old, but the general feel is very good. Staff was friendly and all spoke English. Some of the staff spoke also Finnish, which was nice.... More
