One Recommendation for the Owner: All cats, including males, should be sterilized to avoid foul-smelling territorial markings, sexually transmitted feline diseases and road investment deaths from love escapes
The room was clean, well furnished, large, had a great balcony and the views of the mediteranean were wonderful. We could not have received more attention or better service if we were in a 5 start luxury hotel. The receptionist Giuliana, was so helpful in addressing every question and providing guidance on what to do or where to visit each day. The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the hotel and several restaurants and bars were only a 5 minute walk. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday and they allow dogs. We will return.
Unfortunately the check-out is too early - at 11:00 AM we were almost ready to leave and a woman came to our room to hurry us up...It's not kind at all. And if you consider that the check-in time is 15:00...
I leave saying that the place is really very nice including the view at night and the wine we chose was very good.
The same cannot be said of food. We order two fairly simple first courses (of the 4 proposed in the menu). The sauce was totally untied from the pasta, which in both dishes was absolutely raw. The sauce should have been with pomodini that instead were cut raw and put on top of the nonsense pasta. The pasta tasted absolutely nothing. The top when I find an insect on the bottom of the plate (so dropped in the kitchen since it was soaked in oil). My boyfriend kindly tells the cook that it was on his plate but that it was still not such a serious problem, because I was ashamed to say that I found it in mine. The cook pretends that the insect is dried parsley and makes the insect disappear in half a second by throwing it away. SPOILER: in my plate there was no parsley of any kind, and in my boyfriend's at most it was fresh parsley. AH, and I don't know if the parsley has wings.
After this scene, I have a dessert, a chocolate semifreddo with Campari sauce. I didn't like the sauce at all but they are tastes, I couldn't eat the semifreddo, it was frozen and I couldn't cut the bite with the teaspoon. At this point we left after two cockroaches walked at my feet while we ate, and the waiter did not think to change the blanket at a table not yet booked after a stray cat spread itself on the table (we even managed to take a picture of the cat on the table).
The price was absolutely not cheap but I would have been happy to pay it for a nice evening. We made no fuss after the 'flying' parsley scene so as not to spoil our anniversary night.
We will not return and advised not to return.
Private beach! In this period the
oceanic posidonia unfortunately settles on the shore, despite this all very comfortable. The guys hired on the beach proved willing to clean the beach and areas in front, making the beach service perfect, all with great grace. Appreciate the service. Thank you very much. We will certainly return.
