Cleanliness, friendliness, breakfast and buffet food very varied and of quality, the beach is a five-minute walk from the hotel and has no stones. It is ideal for children and older people. The hotel is very cozy and the pool was impeccable at all times. The clean hotel offers many activities. It also has a great cafeteria where you can have a snack or even dinner. They serve simple dishes and they prepare cocktails that you can have on the pool terrace. The air conditioning in the room could be adjusted to your liking and the bed was very comfortable. There was a rubber band on the mattress but I understand that with so many children and elderly people it is logical that it has to be used, the waiters were extremely friendly as well as the reception, cleaning and cafeteria staff where they kept my husband's insulin when I arrived before giving us room

Overall the hotel was nice and would probably stay again if in the area. However there were a few minor things to be aware of...

Firstly the hotel doesn't have that summer hotel feeling, I'd say it's more of a city style hotel, which is completely fine, if that's what you're looking for. It had great potential with outdoor spaces but lacked any real atmosphere.

Rooms:
The room we had was a basic double room but was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was big and clean too- can't really fault the rooms much. We were unfortunately on the road side so can be a bit noisy during peak traffic times. There is a small mini fridge with chargeable drinks but we kept our own stuff in here to keep it cool. Only main downside was that there was no balcony furniture which we found really odd. It ruined the experience of not being able to sit out on the balcony, HOWEVER we found out on our last night that you could ask at reception, and they would bring chairs up for you, which was our own fault. So make sure to ask on arrival. A little note in rooms or even informing at check for guests of this, would be handy.

Amenities:
There didn't seem to be a hotel bar open when we were there but there is a tropical themed bar next door which you can access through the 2nd floor but isn't really for families or couples- younger crowd. Which was a shame there seemed to be a big empty communal balcony area that had lots of potential.

Pool:
The pool is deceivingly small, I'd not recommend for kids, there's not really enough room for them to play and swim about but fine for just a "quick dip" for adults. There is a jacuzzi which is actually not too warm so it's really refreshing. Usually enough sun beds, if we didn't get one straight away, we managed to come back an hour later and there were ones free.

The pool bar is great, good beers and cocktails and also bar snacks! Didn't try the food but looked lovely.

Area:
The actual town is lovely, the hotel is right next to a small stip of bars and restaurants and about 5/10 min walk to the beach. If going to the beach, go across to the budget euro store across from the hotel and purchase cheap chairs and an umbrella. Almost everyone at the beach has them and you definitely need the umbrella for shade. There is a fab steak restaurant just across the road called "el Patio", would highly recommend for amazing value steak and wine.

This is a nice hotel, very clean, rooms spacious and nice big beds, the staff are all very friendly and check in and check out was easy and we were greeted with a smile. We chose to pay extra for breakfast, which was a nice experience as there were not many guests in the dining room, the breakfast was excellent and worth the extra we paid. There is only one major issue with this hotel and that is the position, our two rooms were on the side of "the strip", unfortunately we were on second floor and our daughter had a room right above a bar that played music until midnight, the problem was because the bar did not stack their chairs like the surrounding bars did, the customers carried on sitting and talking so the noise went on longer than midnight. If I was to stay here again I would ask for a room at the front of the hotel and on a higher floor. The only negative point, everything else was lovely.

Dear Diane,   First of all I would like to thank you for hosting with us and taking a few minutes to evaluate our hotel and services and facilities. Your experiences and comments are very important for us in order to improve our services. I am really sorry that you had to suffer noise from clients of the bars at the plaza, I assure you that we are constantly trying that they keep the level of noise under regulation, as well as people out when is after closing time. It is not our direct responsibility, and because of that, unfortunately sometimes we are not able to enforce it. Thank you again for the great review. I hope on your next visits you do not have to go through any noise whatsoever, having the best rest imaginable both for you and your daughter. We hope to see you again soon in Los Alcázares, here in 525 Hotel. Best regards,

The reason for the average is there are some details which need to be highlighted to keep up a good standard. The room is of a good size ,a large king size bed and a good walk in rainshower.
Firstly the room had the smell of 'smoking' which had got into the curtains and was very unpleasant. I take it some one was smoking at the door to the balcony and the smoke alarm failed to pick this up? Housekeeping must have been aware of this. As you state in your website ,it is smoke free and you can 'breathe deeply' and a fine of e100? We had unpacked by then and solved the problem over several days by applying Air freshner. As to housekeeping this was not up to standard of a 4* hotel ,as the sheets and towels were exchanged , but not changing used cups or cleaning the bathroom floor especially around the toilet. Website states 'Safe stay hotel'. As stated in a past review no coffee replenished in the room? Had to ask at reception. The hairdryer had the universal concentrator broken as well as the shelf in the mini fridge. Spoke to reception about replacements but nothing was done. The staff at reception were pleasant but appear complacent.
Its not a bad hotel but you just need to up your game and have some quality control over housekeeping.
We stayed in Rm 310

Dear Steve, First, let me thank you both for your time and comments about your stay. Of course, all your thoughts and feedback are really appreciated and highly valued, and consequently we try to use your very own suggestions to improve the quality of our service. And now going into the specifics, - It is unfortunately true that some of our guests do not comply with our free of smoke policy. It is also true that they are getting fined, but the fine is 200€. - Regarding the housekeeping department, I am sorry if you were not satisfied with their service, they do your room on a daily basis and they should have changed your cups for sure. Also please bear in mind that you have your amenities replenished once every day, and any more than that, it has either a supplement or you can buy on the vending machines or bar. - With respect to our team, I assure you they are all well trained and willing to help and listen to you. I would like for you to know how far they get in order to have you happy and satisfied, how hard they try to keep our high standard. I am looking forward to having you back in 525, hoping that your next visits meet your higher expectations, which is always our highest goal. Perhaps we can meet in person next time and your next feedback may as well be face to face. Best regards,

As you can see, I dont often write negative reviews.
I am so sad that I have to write this one after coming here many times since this hotel opened. I will try to keep this to detail, honest and factual.
We booked a suite costing over 200 euro per night (4 nights @ 850euro) we booked this suite room 415 as it was special to us. I was mortified at the state of this room. photos attached
1) dangerous and ILLEGAL electric plug socket
2) Rusty shower trays
3) filthy shower
4) toilet roll hanging off
5) Furniture dusty and tatty
6) fridge ddnt work

You dont expect this for the price you pay, neither should you accept this full stop, the room (suite) was not fit for purpose. I went to reception to complain. The reception staff are probably the saving of this hotel, I couldnt fault them so a big thank you.
I was then given an 'upgrade' to the business jacuzzi suite, this was initially ok however it was NOT the room we wanted or booked. Then the issues continued, the air con did not work, the TV had only one station. The maintenance man eventually knocked at MIDNIGHT! to try to fix the air con, it still didnt work and in such a hot season with temps up to 38 was unbearable. He also couldnt fix the TV
I wrote to the CEO twice when I came home, Benito Gomez he chose not to reply. The general manager, Pedro said (i have this in writing) that i could have a refund... he then back tracked and offered me or my family discounts on future visits, I explained that I would never return due to the expericnce. I have not heard anything back since. I feel so let down. Pedro the manager kept telling me how lucky I was to have the jacuzzi suite, this wasnt luck this was because they have failed in both rooms

No way is this a 4 star hotel , for anyone who says it is then they’ve never stayed in a 4 star before. Yes the room was clean, the location is excellent and the staff were pleasant however….
Bed was uncomfortable with the flattest 2 pillows I’ve ever seen , might as well have not had one, my pillow case had rips in it too.
Room had a kettle with a lid that didn’t close and we had 2 breakfast tea bags, 2 menthol tea bags, 2 sugars and 2 small milk/ cream pods, no coffee sachets. I have never known a hotel that provides a kettle that supplies tea bags and no coffee especially in Spain where coffee is a firm favourite at morning times. I’m sure they don’t provide it in the hotel as they want you to use their restaurant.
There was a small fridge stocked with a few fizzy drinks and water , we used one bottle of water and at €3 for a small bottle we didn’t buy anymore.
We just thought the hotel was basic, for what we paid it really wasn’t worth it, I do find though that the “ star rating” for anything in Spain regarding facilities etc is wrong, what they say is 4 star is really 3. A Premier Inn back in the UK is much nicer than this hotel AND it’s cheaper, great value for money. We definitely won’t be stopping at the 525 hotel again.

Dear Caroline,   First of all I would like to thank you for hosting with us and taking a few minutes to evaluate our hotel and services. Your experiences and comments are very important for us in order to improve our services and facilities. With regard to the pillows, thinness or thickness is really a matter of taste, but I encourage you to please ask for more pillows if you sleep better with more volume under your neck. Of course we will be glad to give you as many as you like. As for the amenities you very well describe, I am glad to tell you they are complimentary for all our rooms, they are replenished every day of your stay. Nonetheless, if you want anything which is not included, you are of course more than welcome to visit our breakfast, bar, restaurant or pool bar areas and have anything you like from our menus, which have a wide range of options to choose from on really great prices. I thank you as well for your opinion about the star rating in Spain, but I have to tell you I think differently than you, since in Spain we have great tradition and a great industry in hospitality, we are generally and genuinely pride in the service we offer, we believe that our most important job is give all our guests the best possible experience, try our best to guarantee your satisfaction. I am looking forward to having you back in Los Alcázares, here in 525. We will welcome you with a wide smile hoping that when you leave you feel as satisfied as we are for having you. Best regards,

Sometimes you need to be able to give a 3.5 but I’m afraid that Hotel 525 doesn’t deserve a 4.
If the hotel was advertised as a 3* then it would meet expectations.
The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. The local bars and restaurants are on the doorstep.
The downside is the facilities. The air conditioning was off for winter so the rooms were quite uncomfortable, the pool was closed for the winter and the bars in the hotel were not open until 6 pm.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your time, rating, and comments about your experience at Hotel 525. Your feedback helps our entire team continue to improve every day. I regret what you mentioned about the air conditioning and the pool, it is true that in the winter (which in this area is not long) we set the AC to heat mode, which is the most demanded by our guests because of the cold. I of course understand that cold is subjective and it depends strongly on the area of origin and how accustomed one is to the cold. We do what we can to have everyone satisfied and comfortable with the temperature, but unfortunately we do not have AC on cold mode for winter. I hope to see you again soon at 525, and that your next visits will live up to your highest expectations, which of course are also ours. Kind regards,

Good location beside "the strip" with its restaurants. Good size bedrooms and beds. Breakfast Good value and with a good selection including a cooked breakfast made to order from examples of what they do on a buffet. The examples on the buffet puzzled us at first, but a very helpful staff member indicated that we chose what we wanted as she took our order.
Nice staff. Comfortable bar. The only thing we couldn't stand were small square pillows stuffed with cut up sponge pieces. Very uncomfortable and very strange. We asked if there were larger pillows for on top of the bolster, but we're told no.

The hotel has rooms with 2 kinds of bathroom: with walk-in shower and with a bathtube (in which you have to climb in). Because of our age we wanted a walkin shower, this was not a problem, we were switched to another room inmediately upon our request. Friendly staff, good bed, good shower.
Very strange that in the room there is a water cooker and cups, but no tea bags or coffee bags. You have to buy it yourself, if you want to make tea of coffee in the room. Bars and restaurants, also for cheap breakfast ae very close by

Yes there was tea and coffee but strangely no milk or teaspoon. There is a Mercadona immediate outside so it was no problem.
