Thank you Doug and Leonie for a wonderful, albeit brief, stay. Your hospitality was fantastic and greatly appreciated. The room and bathroom were both 100% clean and very spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities and cookies were a lovely touch. We stayed in the main-house and enjoyed a delicious spread at breakfast time. The location was peaceful and idyllic yet... More

We stayed in the pretty B&B room with fridge, tea/coffee facilities and free wifi, only found the bed a bit too soft. There is a separate toilet from the bathroom with washbasin and shower, everything was nice and clean. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, giving us advice on tourist attractions and chatting about our respective travels during the... More

We spent one night in the room attached to the main house. We were warmly welcomed and made very comfortable. The location is superb, the room has all that one could want, including free wi-fi. An excellent continental breakfast is served. There is not a wide choice of restaurants locally, but the excellent Copthorne resort five minutes walk along the... More

We were here 1 night in August and I wish we could have stayed much longer! The place was very easy to find and even though it is by a main road you cannot hear any traffic. It was raining on and off through the day so we didn’t get to be outside as much as we would have liked.... More

Unfortunately we only had a one day brief stay but found the cottage to be very comfortable and warm (during a cold and wet July). It is a beautiful spot - we really want to return here during the better weather. The cottage was very clean, well furnished and fitted and has a wonderful, large new shower and basin. Can... More

My husband and I stayed one night in this lovely bed and breakfast for our Twilight Encounter tour with Footprints Waipoua. Doug and Leonie are wonderful warm hosts. This B&B is much lovelier and charming than the pictures show. We took the B&B room on the ground floor connected to the main house. We had our own entrance door so... More

McKenzies was recommended to us by the iSite in Omapere and we are lucky it was available for our one night stay. We previously viewed a similar accommodation that was well over the price that this was offered. We stayed in a cozy room off the main house that had an entrance off the deck and views of the Omapere... More

We stayed one night in the B&B - in a lovely quiet setting at the end of beautiful Omapere Beach. Welomed by Doug to a nice room with a full bathroom across the hallway. A very pleasant stay - enjoyed sitting in the sun on the deck outside our room and walking along the beach, easily accessed beyond the lawn.... More

Stayed for one night in the main house. We had a lovely room with a double bed with our own bathroom facilities. The room was furnished to a good standard, with it's own fridge, tea and coffee facilities. It also contained a tv with freeview. The room has its own outside entrance where there are so lovely wooden chairs where... More

We had a 3 night stay in the cottage which is well equipped. The beds are comfortable and with no road noise had sound sleep. As the weather was inclement, we only enjoyed short walks on the beach. We found the lounge chairs lacking in comfort and as an older couple, we ended up with achey backs.
