My wife and I spent a few nights here for once of my close friend's weddings and I have to say thank you to the staff who made an already amazing event even more special. The staff were more accommodating than anyone I have come across in any form of accommodation, they went the extra mile time and time again....

The setting is incomparable - a centuries-old stone walled village perched on a wooded hilltop. The rooms and suites are the actual homes of families who once lived there, and named for them. The award-winning renovation has left the look and feel intact while providing every convenience to guests. And the staff is warm and welcoming. And I almost forgot...

One of the most beautiful locations we have been to. We stayed in one the the apartments for a week and with the exception of the kitchen everything at Gargonza is top notch. The kitchen was sufficient but we love to cook so it would have been nice to have it a little more current. Otherwise this place is awesome....

Friends recommended this place and the idea of staying in a castle really appealed. We caught a taxi from Arezzo train station (30 min) and checked into a big 2 bedroom quarters with lounge room, kitchen and bathroom. The cooking facilities were very basic with microwave and old gas stove, but we only did our own breakfast and lunch and...

We stayed at Castello di Gargonza for one night, being a group of 4 adults and 3 little kids, The apartment Nerino was more than big enough for all of us, We very much enjoyed the well preserved medieval village of Castello di Gargonza. Great experience for the kids to stay and sleep in a castle. We didn't get to...

Thank you very much for your stay with your family to Castello di Gargonza. Families are always welcome to Gargonza because family lived the village until the 1950's so it's nice to have them back! The house bear the name of its former inhabitants. Few more bathrooms where added but the essence of the medieval village has been preserved. Gargonza...

I stayed at Castello di Gargonza in September 2011 for four days to attend my son's wedding. A magic time. The whole wedding party - guests and all - stayed there. We had the most wonderful time - the hotel staff were extremely helpful and made our stay so much more enjoyable. The surroundings were picturesque and the apartments we...

This was an Alistair Sawday recommendation and that really sums it up. Tasteful, different, charming and off the beaten track. The other reviews say 'magical' and it we cannot disagree. While it is quite a long way off the beaten track, that is what we wanted for this part of our holiday and it is perfect. Within minutes of arrival...

We found this place very last minute but was everything that you can ask for! Great food, amazing views, and beautiful well kept estate. Highly recommend it for those looking for a quiet retreat away from Florence or Rome's busy streets and un the heart of Tuscany area.

My husband and I chose to get married at Gargonza on 9th June 2012. It was the most magical 3 days of our lives. I'm almost lost for words as to how special this place is. If you are looking for something rustic and a little bit different but forsaking nothing with regards to quality then look no further. The...
