Don't let renovations dissuade you from making reservations - has no affect on accomodations. We needed 2 rooms for 3 adults with separate beds; I took the king and my friends (mother and son) took the full size with bunk beds, son is 6'2" and found bunk comfortable. The rooms we had were charmingly decorated and very comfortable - TV...

The lodge is in a quiet, rural setting just a few minutes from St. Andrew's downtown area. Our room was comfortable and the en suite bathroom was modern and well appointed. Don and his wife made us truly welcome.

The Victorian-feeling house is undergoing renovations, and in some sense is a work in progress, but that's all well out of the way, and the room we were in, and the warm welcome and conversation from Don made it all pretty comfortable. Breakfast was unremarkable but good. We'd recommend it as a comfortable, economical alternative to staying in the pretty...

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay in Don's home. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. What made this a special place was Don's hospitality. The breakfast in the morning was delicious (we had pancakes, eggs and bacon) and the other two guests at breakfast were good company. The house is under renovation, which...

This B&B is clean, well managed and as authentic as it gets. Even the renovations use the same materials as were in the original construction. The host are warm and friendly, and attentive to the needs of guests. It's quiet and a good place to stay to chill out. At the same time, it's within easy distance (5 minutes) of...

Had a lovely stay here enhanced by the sunny weather and the forest setting. The owners are a delightful couple who made us feel very welcome to the point were we felt that we were guests in their home. We even extended 1 day. Very comfortable room and use of a communal lounge. Free WiFi and parking. Lovely full breakfasts...

We stayed for 3 days in the front bedroom. It was totally newly renovated and was a pleasure to stay in. The host Don was amazingly knowledgeable and an absolute delight. The breakfasts were truly delightful and very well presented. Don gave us history not only of his home, which he is renovating on his own back to its original...

Back home several days after my recent one-night at the Chamcook Forest Lodge, I opened an envelope to find a freshly laundered handkerchief I evidently left behind. This gesture is reflective of the care and concern that is inn keeper Don Menton's hosting manner. This is old school B&B where the qualities of a real family home are evident throughout....

We received a very warm welcome at the Chamcook Forest Lodge. Our host made sure we had everything we needed during our one-night stay. The house is a little bit old and the bathroom quite small and tight, but everything was perfectly clean. If you want to get to the city centre, you must have a car since it's a...

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night at Don's authentic B&B. This is his home, which he generously opens up to us travellers, for which I am grateful. We stayed in the room on the main floor, with two single beds, which are firm, just to our liking. Breakfast - choice of eggs or pancakes, was hearty and the conversation with...
