I understand from the guide that this is the best resort hotel in Pyay. The chalet rooms are located around a lake. The environment really give you a calm and peaceful feeling. The room is spacious with an indoor mini garden. Only issue is wifi is not accessible from the room even with password access.. You need to go to... More

Such a beautiful in Pyay. A treasure to find. Beautiful landscape with many ponds and lake view. Great service. Restaurant is top notch. Great ambience with view. We ate both dinner and lunch the next day and never stepped outside for any meal. Definitely would recommend and definitely will come back to.

A local favorite restaurant plus resort, Mingalar Garden Resort also just within few minutes drive to the Sri Ksetra Museum. The room is quite decent and they have very nice decoration throughout the whole resort. Foreigner will be charged for 70USD per room and come buffet breakfast but as usual, the local can get it at a much cheaper price.

I stayed at the MGR for one night as part of an organised tour of Myanmar so did not select the hotel. The situation of the hotel is excellent, it is beside a lake that comes right up to the rooms and restaurant. Fish can be fed there. The setting is one of gardens and water, with the rooms accessed... More

Nice hotel surrounded by water a greenery the rooms are nice and the onsite restaurant very good. My room was clean and nicely laid out but the bathroom had a extractor that let insects in. The wild life is very loud and it took awhile to sleep but I would go back and spend a few days there.

expect the unexpected - mingalar garden resort is an oasis built at a pond and set in beautiful garden. the resort is a quiet and peaceful place. it was a shame that I only could stay for one night. pyay is place worth visiting, particularly the ancient city of Sri Ksetra which recentlywas awarded the UNESCO World Heritage Status

An interesting trip for my husband and I revisiting my father's 2nd world war haunts. The nearest town to where he was based in 1942 was Prome and the Minglar Garden Resort is the best place in town. I really did feel I was going back in time. Everything about the hotel and it's rooms felt as if we'd gone... More

WiFi sucked. Mosquitos were a problem. They wanted us to eat dinner outside by the koi pond, but I insisted on eating in the dining room away from the bugs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. In fact, they had a lot of staff waiting to help. The room was ok. Television had almost no selection. That doesn't matter to... More

The staff are very friendly, especially credit to Restaurant staff. After staying there for like 7 days, the Rest staff would offer to bring different breakfast. The aircon is very old and it's not cold at all, Wifi totally useless and Mosquito are everywhere. When I complain they send immediate the guy with the mosquito spread, how do you expect... More

It has a strategic location, only ten minutes away from the Sri Ksetra ancient city. The rooms are nicely arranged as if we were in a big garden, and it's clean and well-equip. To those who are not familiar with Myanmar local food, its restaurants serve some tasteful menus. Some taste just like Thai food. One can just come here... More
