Where do i start? Yes this hotel is probably one of the most expensive hotels in Ireland. But after spending 3 nights there it is worth every single penny. I travelled to Ballyfin on my own for a spoil me treat after a particularly difficult year. I was a little nervous going to stay in the "World's Best Hotel", i...

We went for the 8 course tasting menu in Ballyfin and I just cannot say enough about it, couldn't fault a single thing about the whole evening. It was such a treat. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was just pure indulgence. The staff are lovely, the building is stunning inside and out. The atmosphere...

April weather was cool, I must think of moving my birthday! Staff numbers are now large but all were charming from front steps reception to departure. Chef is doing a great job, but I preferred the a la carte to the tasting menu personaly. The bar is still under used, I think a lite lunch option there would work well....

Our stay at Ballyfin Demesne was exceptional. The grand home and its comforts, amenities and services were superlative. There were wonderful places to explore on the property, and the service from staff was very attentive. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at Ballyfin, and they were also a first class experience. I agree with others who have commented to the gist...

We are staying for two nights. As soon as you enter the gate you will realise what a special place this is. You are met at the entrance of the hotel and will be given the VIP treatment throughout your stay. Their attention to detail is next to none, the food exquisite and the staff are amazingly friendly and genuinely...

This is the finest hotel property we have ever experienced. The attention to detail was at a higher level than could be imagined. The staff were helpful, polished but not a bit stuffy. The property is finished as if for royalty. Carved plasterwork, leaded glass glass dome, comfy sitting room with a fire and wonderful authentic books and interesting magazines....

I actually visited Ballyfin in 2011, and forgot to write my review, but better late than never. As i drove into the property, I was just struck by its beauty and its exclusiveness, It was straight out of a movie, and when I walked into my room , it made me feel like a princess, it was beautiful and very...

From the moment we alighted from our taxi and were warmly greeted to the moment we left and water bottles were tucked into the taxi with us, our two days at Ballyfin last week were truly magical. Our room was beautiful, furnished with antiques and fresh flowers, the food was amazing and the daffodils of early Spring were everywhere. The...

Passed one night at the Ballyfin museum, that's what this place truly feels like. A warm welcome & homely stay is the intimate experience I am taking with me from Ireland. Though a detached destination, the house is a perfect haven for couples crossing the midlands.
