There are simply not enough superlatives to describe Ballyfin and the staff. Although my husband and I only had one night there it was so unforgettable that we will most definitely return for a longer visit. I cannot wait.

This hotel and the estate it stands within really is a little piece of heaven and oh so well worth a visit. It is impossible to have any negative feelings or opinions about this hotel. It was our first visit - and hopefully we will be returning - as soon as possible. The staff clearly love this hotel and it...

This is our 2nd stay. We first stayed in June 2013. Loved everything about it then & love it even more now! The rooms are an experience back in time, the elegance and beauty of another time. Very comfortable & quiet! We spent 2 hours riding the bikes around the estate after breakfast. Returned in time for lunch, an hour...

Spent an idyllic mid Summer's evening in Ballyfin and, whilst our visit was only for dinner, we were treated royally from start to finish. Commencing with a tour of the main receptions rooms, coffee in the library and then a complimentary buggy to take a wider tour of the estate. Dinner was top class finished off by coffee in the...

Just back from a visit to Ballyfin House and I cannot praise this experience highly enough! From the greeting at the front of the demense (Downton Abbey style) by three members of staff, car whisked away, hot towels and cool water to welcome us, to the gentle and informative tour of the ground floor with all of its sumptuous rooms,...

Everything here is perfect! If I had to pick niggles (and very minute ones at that), the quality of the food marginally lags the quality of the house, staff and atmosphere. Otherwise, full marks. Ideal for a weekend getaway. I would definitely stay a minimum of two nights, otherwise you'll be checking out before you start to really appreciate the...

We arrived in mid June straight from Dublin airport for a three night stay.
