A first time review for me on TripAdvisor. We went to the Horse and Jockey for Mother's Day lunch and were very pleased with our visit. My Mum given a complimentary glass of prosecco, great service and superb food. £19.95 for 3 courses was great value. We particularly liked the amount and variety of vegetables that came with the roast,...

Really considerate people run this establishment. We were made aware that there was no food provided in the pub on Sunday evenings which was the day we arrived. We enjoyed an evening meal on the Monday night which was very reasonably priced and cooked to perfection (a Rump Steak and a Caesar Salad) Outstanding value all round.

Good food, good service, nice atmosphere, lovely building (restored after a fire), good feel about the place, very comfortable - what's not to like? Even the parking is good. We weren't rushed and our two elderly guests were very happy with everything, too.

Went here for a birthday meal for my mum. Even thou I only live down the road never eaten here before. I had a rump steak and it was the best I have ever had. Even my husband said it was really nice. Very nice!!! Will go again now I know.

Stayed for one night in February 2017. Welcome was very friendly. The room was compact but very nicely done. It was thoughtful to have bottled water as well as the usual tea/coffee. Dinner in the pub was very tasty, pub grub but well done and very large portions. The service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast next day was freshly cooked,...

We went with the family for Sunday lunch, no choices for roast meat, only beef, when asked if there were other meats, we were told no, not today. The roasts came but the food was cold, and when the puddings came, they were very small and about an ounce of custard. We were very disappointed as it has been recommended to us. We...

Thank you for a lovely evening,...

Great food, great service and reasonable prices. We have had takeaway pizza from here on a number of occasions and finally decided to eat in for a change. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal there.

We had lunch here on a Sunday. The food was very good with a varied choice of dishes - really enjoyed the seafood chowder. Desserts very nice as well. Service was great, very friendly staff. Would definitely return!
